Scouting || Yuuka & ??? (OPEN)
Yuuka Teramoto would be lying if she said she didn’t like idol work. Recording CDs, doing photoshoots and the occasional radio show or livestream...she didn’t do these things as often as other idols mostly due to her lack of a company and exposure, but that wasn’t what made being an idol her favorite thing in the world. The best part was standing on the stage, no matter how small, and getting to see an ocean of penlights in the white image color that she had chosen for herself. Her fans chanted and cheered for her, and she got to give them a performance with everything she had in her. Sure it was tiring, but that was only part of the fun. More importantly, it brought in money to keep performing, getting new costumes, and keep the venue as her regular spot.
Her favorite way to make money were the handshake events that were held after her shows. One CD bought meant about 10 seconds of her shaking the hand of a stranger and speaking to them about whatever they felt like, but the people who really liked her bought far more than one CD. The conversations were sometimes a bit dull, but the regulars knew how to keep her invested in whatever they were saying, and that bit of interaction was what seemed to make them keep returning.
There were of course...a few problems. For one, working alone was incredibly tiring for a teenager. Being her own spokesperson only brought up more problems for her in the long run as she was never quite sure when to shut her mouth, buying new costumes and recording her own CDs made feeding herself at times difficult, and she only really had security and some staff at her events because of the venue being kind enough to lend their own people for the time being. The only solution she saw, was to scout! Audition flyers were fine as well, but Yuuka preferred if she handpicked them herself. Who knew what kind of freaks would show up to those things? There were a few things she tried to keep in mind, like how the fans would probably dislike if she was in a group with guys, or how certain types of faces tended to be less popular but...all those concerns were quickly thrown out as she wandered the streets with her handmade fliers. Who cared what people thought? She’d make them audition anyway, so it wasn’t like she’d let just anyone in! They had to be the right person!
Especially if she planned to share the powers of the white king with them.
“Heeeey! You there! Over here!” Still dressed in her idol costume, a short, white and pale blue dress and black boots. On top of her head sat a large white bow. A bit out of place with her outfit, she wore a charm bracelet on her right wrist, a single charm dangling off of it: an angel wing. Somehow, she couldn’t stop grinning as she beckoned to the nearest, unfortunate passerby. “Wanna become an idol?”
