I hope this helps anyone who may struggle with it. This is just the basics of their armour styles and some things to keep in mind while designing your own for them.
Joints are always covered, the crotch is never covered, and the chestplates should always cover the collarbones and heart.
For inspiration on Wels' armour, you can obviously always look at medieval knights. There's tons of armour options, some even without outside plating (brigandines.) Gladiator armour is also a good option if you want to keep the fighter look, but have it more open with fabric.
For Xisuma, you can look at military body armour, or futuristic armour. Since he's based on Doom Guy, looking at the variations of those skins can also give you an idea of how you can mix together the two for the apocalyptic look.
You can always exagerate the features of how the armour appears to get the idea across. Aaaand that's all I can think of for advice right now, the idea is mostly based on their build. Wels' is for movement and protection, Xisuma's is for strength and exploration.
