I try to avoid them at all cost.“ Do you get along well with your (foster)brothers and sisters? “I do. My older foster brother and I actually have a band together and if you didn’t know any better, you would think we were blood brothers. My younger foster brother is pretty cool too. We like to play video games together and I’ve recently started teaching him how to play guitar.“ Do you often argue with your (foster)mother or father? What about? “All the time. I’d rather not get into the reasons why. But, let’s just say, We are on two completely different wave lengths when it comes to the meaning of family.“ Do you look more like your mother or your father? “From what I’ve seen in pictures, I’d like to think I’m a pretty good mix. But, I definitely got my fathers nose.” Are you pressured by your (foster)family to act in a certain way? “Absolutely. They would like to see my follow in their footsteps of becoming a law student. They have very high standards for all of their kids. But, I on the other hand like to live a more free spirited life. I kind of just go with the flow.” What is the best memory you have of your family doing something together? “I don’t really remember too much about my birth family. But, I do remember my mother singing to me a lot. It always made me feel safe and secure. I think that’s why I have a passion and love for music.“
HYPOCRITICAL- Jessa is the epitome of a walking contradiction, and won’t deny that she’s a hypocrite. For example, she’ll tell someone to take chances with their heart and risk getting hurt because life is too short, blah blah blah, but it isn’t something she would do herself.
SECRETIVE - This isn’t on the list, I don’t think, but it fits her perfectly. There are a lot of things people don’t know about her, not even her closest friends. She’s generally afraid to let anyone see that she’s actually a v v anxious person so, like, not a single soul knows about her anxiety or the meds she takes on a daily basis. She’s also a v depressed person who withdraws into herself whenever she’s alone; it’s a big part of why she doesn’t like big crowds or going to parties. She’d much prefer to stay in and drink herself to sleep than party with a bunch of people.
IMPULSIVE - Bad decisions are good decisions, in Jessabel’s mind. She doesn’t think a whole lot before she speaks; if the words ‘but we might get caught’ are thrown her way, she’s on board with whatever the idea is. This goes back to the whole believing in taking risks thing and also, she craved her parents attention a lot so she always got in trouble on purpose in attempt to piss them off? But it never quite worked-- and yet, she can’t seem to stop doing things that might get her into trouble.

Daphne and Éli have a very easy-going relationship. While not particularly close emotionally, the two can always be found catching each other up on the surface level topics of their lives or teasing each other. Daphne had always been somewhat of a leader, not just in her social life but also within her family. Despite being the second youngest Addington children, she had been around to make more final and serious decisions when it comes to the whereabouts and involvement of some of her cousins and their family’s business. Éli, being two years her junior had always held a special place in her heart; somewhat taking the missing role of a little brother. Because of this, Daphne has always tried her best to convince her father to keep her younger cousin untied from any serious obligations, especially in comparison to the other men in her family.
RELIGIOUS FIGURE: Baphomet -- 150+
Daphne’s family, being closely linked to the Illuminati, have always references and worshiped Baphomet; believing in the all of the harmonious dichotomies of the cosmos: the duality of male and female, Heaven and Hell, night and day, etc. Ultimately, Daphne will be expected to know and live by the beliefs her ancestors held and while she knows, to some extent, what the Goat God represents, she is not yet completely involved in the belief system, nor has she been initiated as a part of the Occult. She struggles with the idea of taking on such a fundamentally evil belief system and keeps the topic of religion off limits to avoid admitting her association with it all together.
COUSIN: Merri Addington ( Nina Dobrev ) -- 24
Merri had always took on the role of mother among Daphne’s cousins. While not the oldest of the Addington children, she was definitely the most level-headed and responsible one. Although the two exist on the opposite ends of the spectrum in terms wildness, Daphne had a very close connection with Merri from a very early age; always looking up to her and trying to emulate her thoughtful nature. If she ever needed advice, Merri had only ever been a phonecall away, as a result, Daphne tended to reach out to Merri long before she would ever approach her mother for most things.
MOTHER: Elizabeth Addington ( Victoria Beckham ) -- 39
Elizabeth had Daphne out of obligation to her husbands family line. While it wasn’t a direct obligation to the Occult for Michael to have children, it was an obligation to the Addington line. Because of this rigid reasoning behind Daphne’s conception, her relationship with her mother had never been close. In fact, in most cases, Daphne and her mother’s relationship felt very robotic: lacking any real emotion, genuine conversation, or interest in one another. Her mother wasn’t completely cold, however, feeling connected to her daughter in a primal way and feeling proud of her when Daphne began taking on more responsibilities as a scion of the Addingtons, as she gradually becomes of age.
FATHER: Michael Addington ( Daniel Gillies ) -- 44
Daphne is her daddy’s little girl. Michael, an incredibly powerful “businessman,” would highly consider sacrificing nearly everything his family has worked for, before allowing anything to happen to his daughter. Being a part of the Addington bloodline, while quite shameful when considering an outside perspective, whenever in the presence of her father, Daphne couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride to be a descendant of such resilience and power. Her connection the to secret societies and the Occult are directly connected to her father; his own connection to these societies stretching back as far as nearly two-hundred years. The power his family holds is beyond the understanding of even anyone associated with the Illuminati through their own attempts at reaching a level of success and power themselves. Michael expects a lot of Daphne, even despite granting her a certain level of freedom until she is of age, and these same pressures will continue to hover her for the rest of her natural life.
Alek was much more like Daphne than her sister Merri ever was. From a very early age, the two were attached at the hip. With birthdays only a few days apart, the two had no reason to be separated; doing nearly everything together. As they grew older, they somehow managed to maintain most of the same interests in both celebrity culture and more minute hobbies. Whenever home, Daphne always ran to Alek first, wanting to update her on every tiny detail of what she had missed while apart. Much like the question of the chicken or the egg, it was never really clear if Alekzandria was the wild-child and recruited Daphne to her ways, or if Daphne was the bad influence all along. Never minding which came first, the two were each other’s go-to friend for any gossip or wild nights out.
COUSIN: Lévi Addington ( Nick Robinson ) -- 17
Twin to Alekzandria, Lévi is the eldest of the two, though if you ask Daphne or Alek, they will say otherwise. Alike to her relationship with Alek, Daphne was incredibly close to Lévi. It was simply easy to relate and connect with the cousins that were closer to her in age. Being one of the Addington boys has always prevented him from having nearly as much fun as his twin or Daphne, but he was always attune to them in spirit. Instead of partying with Daphne, Lévi was particularly close to her because of their shared responsibility in their family. It was hard revealing such stress to any of the relatives who were either too far advance to remember what it was like to take on a few heavier responsibilities as a 17 year old, or those relatives who simply didn’t understand the pressures they were under. For that reason, Daphne and Lévi always had an intangible bond.

One of Jessa’s biggest fears is letting people, even her closest friends, see who she is underneath the mask. She’s definitely too terrified to show anyone her scary parts, who she is in the middle of the night when that facade slips away.

I think the line from this song that resonates the most is “It was a flood that wrecked our home and you caused it", which would refer to her father and all the corrupt business he partook in as an attorney. Those actions were what led to his divorce from her mother, but also, “We are the reckless, we are the wild youth” is a great way to describe how Jessa always acted due to the neglect she felt, given that her parents were rarely around and even when they were, they were never focused on their daughter.

Pretty self-explanatory. Jessa grew up in New York City and certainly has that mentality that because she grew up in the city where dreams are made of, she can go on to do anything she sets her mind to. While she has no plans to live in NYC as an adult apart from temporarily, it will always be home to her and she holds the city very dear to her heart.

Lost Boy - Ruth B
So, these two hit it off from the first day they met in the library while she was throwing a temper tantrum and it’s no secret that he’s easily become her best friend and one of the only people she can say with certainty that she trusts, which might seem like a small thing to some but is a pretty big deal for her. Whether they’re drinking their problems away, poking fun at each other, or bonding over their love of musicals, there isn’t a single moment she doesn’t find enjoyment in just being around him. She makes jokes about feeling like she’d be lost without him, but at this point, it isn’t just a joke and there isn’t a future she wants that doesn’t involve having him around.

If there is one thing Jessa is, it’s very independent and basically she don’t need no man?? She’s got a firm belief in taking care of herself and pampering herself, not relying on anyone to do anything for her, quite literally ever. Another side effect of growing up with parents who were never around so she basically had to learn to care for herself.

Drinking champagne, a bottle to myself and the part about sleep not being a friend are very relevant to Jessa. About ninety percent of the time, she chooses to drown her sorrows in private and is basically convinced at this point that she is an insomniac. There’s always too much going on in her head for her to fall asleep.

Very relevant in her life at the moment. Any step she takes toward the possibility of dating someone she may or may not have feelings for is very delicate to her.
Titanium - Sia
Whatever you think of her, it will never be worse than what she thinks of herself. When asked, she will tell you that nothing gets under her skin. She is titanium and can’t be hurt.
Too Good at Goodbyes - Sam Smith
No matter how much someone means to Jessa, she is terrified to allow them to get too close and so she chooses not to. In the past, she has pushed someone v important to her out of her life because she felt herself falling and she’s so terrified of it hurting in the end that she does the hurting before the other person can.
Breathin’ - Ariana Grande
So, she has anxiety ( not diagnosed ) and it can be hard for her to remind herself to just breathe on a lot of days. She uses a lot of medicine to kind of escape it all. A lot of the times she feels like she has little control of the thoughts that run through her mind and she has to force herself to shove them down so they can’t make her feel like she’s losing it.
Chandelier - Sia
“Party girls don’t get hurt. Can’t feel anything, when will I learn? I push it down, I push it down.” Basically how Jess feels, although in all honesty, the girl feels everything.

The way Jessa looks at it, the pills are there and have been there when people haven’t been. She’s v afraid of how reliant she is on them and she wants to ask for help from the people she considers important to her, but she’s also v v afraid of what they will think of her if they find out.

She’s young and just wants to have fun.

Jessa is very impulsive and loves the idea of getting into trouble. She’s constantly making jokes of running away, but it’s something she’s always wanted to do. She feels like life is too short to not be crazy and take some risks. Only have one life, might as well live it while you’re young enough to do so.

"But your blade, it might be too sharp”. She likes to think that her parents do not matter to her, not in the slightest, but in truth, every bad feeling and thought in her head is because of the lack of love they showed her. She refuses to let them be aware of that, however.

Hey Kingswood students! Our first task is here and I hope your ready to look up your family history. For this task we ask that you build your family tree. Feel free to go as in depth as you’d like. Maybe this involves a little family poster with the faces of your family members or maybe it’s a little description of who they are in relation to you. Extra credit if you include how you and each member get along.

So for our first task we’re doing a family one! This task is optional but we still think it’ll be fun and helpful for a future event that is about to come. There’s no specific deadline for when this is due or any required format. If you want to keep it simple and have a family template as seen here then that’s totally fine! Feel free to write blurbs or maybe IC posts about how your character’s family interact with one another. If you need any ideas or help then feel free to contact the main, we’d be more than willing to help you out. Please tag all of your posts under kings:task.

For this weeks task we’d like you guys to post your character’s Class Schedules! There are seven class periods in a day here at Kingswood and while we don’t have a specific list of the curriculum and courses offered here, we do want to remind you that your character’s schedule should be a healthy balance of both standard academic and elective classes (suspension of disbelief can only take us so far, so we do need a bit of realism on this). We hope that in knowing other character’s schedules it will lead to more plots and connections between characters based on having classes together. As with the last task, there is no time limit and it isn’t mandatory, but participation is highly encouraged. Have fun, and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
