Kili sidled over to Thorin "Uncle," he began, "Hypothetically..."

Then he needs to come and ask her!
[Hello. I came here because of learning.]
Yes yes, welcome to my blog. Basically, here’s why I like the Race of Men. I think that out of Tolkien’s races, and no doubt people will contest this, but I consider them to be the most tragic and in turn, the absolute most beautiful. In particular, I’ve always cared for the descendants of Elendil, basically being the Men of Gondor & the Dunedain. It’s really interesting to see how their greatest weakness, their pride, also enables them to do so much beyond their mortality and their humanity, whether it’s in healing, fighting or building.
For every warrior you have, you also have a great healer or leader and in the really cool cases, like Faramir & Aragorn, you have all three. The race of Men is exceptionally diverse and falters and falls time and time again only to rise back up all the stronger to face the darkness of Mordor, Angmar and what flaws lie within their own hearts. I honestly could write a lot more, but I’ll save that for a meta post! Hope that helps explain a bit of why I find them so interesting!

Sniffing the air, the fawn knew something new was in his forest, something that wasn’t usually there. He had to investigate. Moving through the trees with caution, his ears swivelled and moved to pick up any stray sounds, any movements on his well known trails, ready to dart if something dared attack him.
An Unwelcome Companion
Gandalf glanced around the hobbit hole, mentally counting those who were here. Fili, Kili, Oin, Gloin, Dwalin, Balin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Nori, and Ori. That was 12, Thorin was yet to arrive, as was the other member of their party. The wizard had yet to tell the others of the final member, having said Bilbo was the final one -knowing that the dwarves wouldn't be all too happy about who he chose- That's when there was a soft knock on the door.
"More? I don't believe anyone else will fit in here!" Bilbo complained, marching over to the door and pulling it open. However, instead of a dwarf -like he had been expecting- was a young woman..or at least she looked young. "Are you Mr. Baggins? She asked in a soft voice, only getting a nod in response. The elf smiled "I am Saria...may I come in?" without an answer she entered past him, running a hand through her red hair
The company looked to the door, thinking the person who just entered was Thorin. They were surprised, and enraged, upon seeing an elf at the door.“What’s an elf doing here?!” shouted Fili, standing from his chair, demanding to know why there was an elf joining their company. They had not heard word of it, and refused to believe she was here on company business.
A riot was starting now among the dwarves, arguing over what to do with the elf. They did not care if she was listening in. They refused to trust her or her kind. Saria winced slightly at the sudden outburst, not expecting such a thing to happen…well, at least not as soon as she stepped foot into the door. “Please, if you would only hear me out!” She spoke, trying to calm the group “I wish only to try and make up for what my kin did you yours”
