Procyonidae
The Procyonidae is a New World family which consists of raccoons, ringtails, cacomistles, coatis, kinkajous, olingos, and olinguitos. They date back over 20 million years ago. They are viewed as smaller cousins of the bear family, even though they are closely related to mustelids.
The best part about having friends is knowing that when they witness a weird unfortunate looking creature they will send it to me because they know I will automatically love it.
Kinkajous
Kinkajous are sometimes called honey bears because they raid bees' nests. They use their long, skinny tongues to slurp honey from a hive, and also to remove insects like termites from their nests. Kinkajous also eat fruit and small mammals, which they snare with their nimble front paws and sharp claws.
