Welcome to Kinterviews!
Kinterviews is sort of like alterhuman confession blogs, with some inspiration also taken from @kin-a-character-who! (Hope you don’t mind the tag!)
Basically, this is for fictionfolk to send little prompts and questions for others (or themselves) to answer! I know the name has ‘kin’ in it, but that’s just for the name pun. Everyone is welcome!
If you want specific fictionfolk answering (like fictives, fictionfolk from a specific source, etc.) please specify! If you only have one question geared towards a specific group, send that separately from more generalized questions to avoid confusion! This whole thing is for fictionfolk to get a chance to talk about themselves, so you can answer your own questions too!
You can use the ask box to send questions, but please do not send more than five in the same ask; this is to avoid posts becoming too long. Anonymous tags are optional.
If you’d like to claim a tag to use anonymously, add it to the end of your ask with a hashtag before it so that I can know it’s a tag. If your tag has words or numbers, please add at least one emoji so it’s not confused with a username.
Non-anonymous asks will be tagged with the username of the sender. If you want a sideblog tagged, ask anonymously and use the @.
Any fictionfolk may submit questions, but I do have some boundaries! I request that syscourse is left out of here. If you bring up syscourse on this blog or reblog anything from here with a syscourse tag or anything like that, you will be blocked from this blog. Also, this is more of a personal thing, but please don’t use the word ‘kinnie’ here, as I’ve seen plenty of fictionfolk who are made uncomfortable by the term.
This is meant for fictionfolk, so please keep it on-track as well.
Hopefully that’s all reasonable! Anyways, if this is formatted badly, I apologize! I will probably revamp the intro eventually, as I’ve never actually written one outside of using templates before. Any questions for me specifically or in regards to how the blog works? Feel free to ask in the inbox or in a comment! I’m new to this so I know it’s very messy… Anyways, have a great day!
P.S. — There may be more to do on this blog in the future, but we’ll see :)
Questions for fictionfolk in general:
What do you consider your fictional identity/identities to be?
Does being fictionfolk affect your presentation? (Name, pronouns, how you dress, how you act, diction, etc.)
Have you ever interacted with any sourcemates?
Are you any other form of alterhuman?
How do you feel about being fictionfolk?
This ask was submitted by yours truly! You don’t need to format questions exactly like this, but here’s a starter to get this blog kicked off and kinda demonstrate how the blog works. Your answers can be as long or as short as you want. I’m going to put my answers under the cut, have fun :)
What's a source of yours that you get the most excited to find sourcemates for?
✉️
for a question... do you have kin dysphoria (like not liking your appearance or the way you act bc its different from source) and how do you deal with it?
✉️
What's your most obscure source?
✉️
How do you feel when your source is being brought up when you weren't expecting it while you're browsing the web (or irl)? Appreciated? Anxious? Called out?
✉️
How do you feel when people start talking about your source in front of you? (Mostly in real life or otherwise). Do you feel compelled to let them know what your kin is?
