I like to think Duke Diarca is opportunistically homophobic. His ennemies are gay ? Great blackmail + no heir yippie. His son is gay ? Sure why not. Nobles are saying being gay is disgusting ? They're right, they're right.

"Father, I have something to confess..." Kiolle looked down, his contract now erased, he could finally admit the truth to his father. "I have been working with Yuder Aile, the monstrous Cavalry Commander's Assistant..." Duke Diarca slowly lowered the party popper he was holding, gestured to the nervous servant holding the cake to take down the 'Gay is Okay!' towering above them and took off his 'I <3 my gay son' tshirt.

Kiolle da Diaca, pre-Yuder era:

pretty sure there was some description of how kiolle was more physically imposing than yuder somewhere during the harvest festival arc. BUT i forgot that he has some bulk, as he should since he's a knight and all. he is so chihuahua and baby in my mind 🥲

Awakener Kiolle Au

Kiolle awakens! But he has no idea that he does. So obviously mostly canon events, with Yuder noticing something off during the spar when they first met. Nahan doesn’t find out abt him being an awakened but if he did he’d freak tf out.

Now you may be wondering, how exactly has no one noticed he’s an Awakener? Well it’s because Kiolle’s power is luck. He can increase his own luck by decreasing others, but since its subconscious he manages to make both his and Yuder’s luck worse whenever they’re together. Yuder finds out at some point about his power (probably because Nipollen didn’t hesitate to approach him) and immediately goes hell instructor mode. He bullies the absolute shit out of Kiolle. Now Kiolle’s luck can do anything as long as it’s physically possible, and unfortunately for him he still can’t break off that contract. Instead he keeps accidentally getting info for Yuder (and not realizing it, the idiot that he is) and keeps getting into situations he’d rather not be in. I honestly don’t know where else to go with this, but Kiolle is such a clown that giving him this power and putting him in any situation is akin to watching a car crash.

Kiolle my cutie pie, don't ever change!!! On a more serious note, it's actually interesting how much he changed and is becoming empathetic (understanding the manager's anger) all because of Yuder ^^
