Can I just say, I absolutely loved how they handled the episode with Margot in it.
Because while she gets to speak her piece, and in the end she at least tries to change, Margot is still held accountable for her actions. Sure, her parents taught her those harmful behaviors, but she hurt Wolf anyway and no one has to forgive her for what she did.
And Wolf? She has support. Her new family, her real family, is doing everything they can to be there for her. They follow Wolf’s lead, and even if they occasionally overstep, they do try to help. Even Kipo, the ultimate queen of forgiveness, focuses on supporting Wolf.
Like, Kipo was 100% ready to throw down and the only reason she didn’t is because Wolf told her not to! Madam Redemption Arc, the one who reached out to Scarlemange unprompted, acknowledges that she wasn’t the one who was hurt and steps back. Kipo’s response to Wolf going after Margot is “I will follow your lead and trust your judgement, but if you decide you want this wolf mauled, just say the word.”
Just...I appreciate that. That even in a show where redemption is always an option and friendship is constantly driving the plot, there is an episode about how sometimes people don’t change, and even if they do you’re not obligated to forgive those that have hurt you.
Between Jamack, Hugo, Margot, and Emilia this show has all kinds of sympathetic villains. Some of them get redemption, others don’t, but... they’re all there.
