Heartland - 4x15 - The River
“While it’s very upsetting that Ty did in fact die I’ve thought about it a lot and feel that it does actually fit his character in an interesting spiritual kind of way. From the very beginning it feels like death has followed Ty. Getting sick at the cabin, the plane crash, the motorcycle accident, Mongolia and then finally getting shot. Periodically he’s always having near misses with death like something is just calling to him and has now finally got him. I think it’s a very fitting end to his character in a very bittersweet way because death seems to have always been there with him just waiting, not maliciously, but in a ‘welcome home’ kind of way. Then again I have always seen the show as being quite spiritual especially with Jack who appears to be incredibly sensitive to the spirit world and even Amy who was saved by her mother from the bear and seems to feel her presence a lot.”

Come on, Amy. You don’t need those big clinics or the brand-name horses. Your mom never did. Hey, I am not like her! If I was, I wouldn’t have gotten involved with Stewart Forrest. I just..I felt all this pressure about the money and making a name for myself, and...You know, maybe...maybe it’s a good thing my mom’s not here. She can’t see how bad I’ve screwed up.
