...replayed albedo's story quest and realized something about corrosive "parallel elements" to teyvat:

ironically, aqua regia is not water, so it's actually not associated with neuvillette.

it's more aligned with the abyss and elements beyond the light realm.

we know this because water can't dissolve gold (most erosion resistant "element" of the LR, gold is immune to erosion), but an "acid" like aqua regia can.

zhongli is gold and so is his power. the only instance we have of that power being effected in anyway similar to aqua regia is power from the beyond, not from elements within.

people inflate unrealistic levels of aggression between zhongli and neuvillette on a such personal level when in reality all of the negative projections we're conflating with these two (regarding the dragon-archon clash) would likely be more associated with Ei (or at least at the heightened level powerscalers project on neuvili) 😭

this isn't an Ei hate post, just pointing out her own past mistakes and flaws that would clash with the crying dragon at a higher level than some other archons

many "fans" assert that people "can't handle morally grey characters" (or characters who commit grey actions out of necessity) only to then turn around and denigrate these same characters with the most sanctimoniously pious criticisms known to man..

also, within the genshin impact community, there's a tendency to diminish or outright erase the distinct/positive aspects of regions like Liyue and Inazuma by attributing all of their positives to "Asian Bias" and nothing more.

any details of importance are automatically discredited. the lore is suddenly not accurate anymore and nothing positive that comes out of that region matters at all because they're asian.

it's hypocritical (they never say that when other regions get their positive spotlight), low-key racist, and sinophobic. you're reducing all of the beauty in the region (and effort put into the characters) to one characteristic, and discriminating them all based off of it.

it's annoying asf...even more annoying when people say they aren't racist or sinophobic themselves before turning around and projecting this same exact reasoning in genshin lore discussions. everytime.

That one art piece depicting the Sustainer pinning up Zhongli in the heavens (or celestial backdrop in Genshin's first cutscene) with her sharp "star blocks" lives rent free in my head

everytime albedo appears in these suspicious lore-parallel esque events im at the edge of my seat (the whopperflower one has definitely left a lasting impression) despite this event in particular being very cute

it had to poke at us with yet another daunting revelation lol

i don't think people didn't expect durin to revive eventually...but im glad this event somewhat solidifies it hehe. it's a faraway, useless, hopeful wish but...i hope we have some more dedicated time to talk more in detail about it with albedo soon. or some other lore relevant character (it feels like absolute delusion to expect it to be with venti — just as major, mysterious lore character with many secrets unbreached cause Plot™ — atp 😞).

just...need more brain scratching albedo revelations (because it feels like we're discovering new world breaking lore beside him, a learning and ever so curious primordial human).
