Woo, been a few months since I've done a Fairy Tail piece. I've missed it. Kiria is badass.

Winter Kiria & Drop! ☃💖💜
Comm'd by HangBoy13! Thank you so much!
Why are characters like Dimaria and Kiria so creepy, showing sadistic sides that are extreme even compared to their fellow teammates?
I’m hoping we get some backstory explaining why they acted that way, considering that 100 Years Quest shows them later going soft.
Thank you for your question!
According to psychology, a child grows up with sadistic tendencies if:
1. They themself suffered some kind of violence in childhood (Perhaps, in order to train the divine powers, Dimaria had to endure cruel treatment either from her parents or from her own god of Time in herself), and also as a result, if in childhood they lacked warmth, love and affection for their parents.
2. If the child was subjected to cruel punishments, which formed a pattern of such behavior in the child as the norm.
There are also psychological factors:
3. Desire for power and control: Sadists get excited by causing harm to others, which is associated with a sense of power and dominance. (Dimaria is one of the strongest FT characters with an op ability (let's forget about op main characters), and therefore, due to the feeling of impunity and accessibility due to the ability to stop time, she allows herself sadism, the same with Kiria, her diverse power of wielding blades allows her to mock others in all sorts of different ways, isn't this entertaining for her?)
4. And finally, genetic predisposition (if we can call it that): Since Kiria ate a dragon, she also inherited the sadistic dragon side
It's funny that I managed to give a short lecture on psychology (after all, I am partly a teacher haha), but I hope someday we will find out the reality
I don't think we have to worry about Laxus ending up in a official pair at this point. Mashima is likely very aware that he there are very popular ships around Laxus with Freed and Mirajane. Canon interaction and bond wise it should be Fraxus, but he also keeps his Miraxus fans interested by droppimg a cover or so but has shown no real interest in having them interact more. Similar goes probably with Kiria, maybe throw one into the mix to show is non-intentions of having Laxus end up with anyone 100%
Ahh so Hiro Mashima is just kind of messing around with all the Laxus ships then. I was a bit worried he’s going to end up with Kiria since she has an active crush on him and I’m assuming he’s going to pair them up just due to that alone. Hopefully he doesn’t actually go through with that pairing mainly because they have a lack of actual chemistry and Kiria initially being someone who wanted to devour him and now somehow simping for him feels like any potential for her character is being wasted and she mainly appears just for the sake of hyping up Laxus.
At least with characters like Freed despite him being his biggest supporter he feels like he can stand alone as his own character outside of the ship which I really do appreciate and also Mirajane having her own arc and standing as her own character is great.
