チェリーパイ

チェリーパイは、サクランボを主役にした伝統的なアメリカ風のデザートです。新鮮なサクランボや缶詰のサクランボをパイ生地で包み、オーブンで焼き上げます。サクランボの甘酸っぱさと、サクサクとしたパイ生地の食感が魅力です。通常、サクランボは砂糖やコーンスターチと一緒に煮てフィリングを作り、それをパイ生地で包みます。チェリーパイは夏に旬を迎えるサクランボを使ったデザートとして人気で、温かいパイにアイスクリームを添えて食べるのも定番です。アメリカでは家庭料理として広く親しまれており、地域や家庭によって様々なレシピが存在します。

Kirschkuchen's Story

He is a King so full of himself he wants to partake in anything luxurious. From perfumes (preserved with his own venom), jewelry, decadent sweets, and even the best clothes money can buy. He'd also laze about every day and did little for his kingdom, and yet he demanded those luxurious things from his subjects.

But his subjects had to obey, for he was well known for devouring cookies who caused chaos or disrespected his authority in his kingdom. This habit of devouring insubordinate cookies, caused his own subjects to start fearing him.

So they came up with a plan to trap the King. A plan to fool the tyrant king into locking himself away. They worked together to make the most beautiful crown, shackles and collar encrusted with the finest gem they could find. They were made so beautifully so they could pass off the shackles as a new form of jewelry.

And lucky for the citizens it worked! King Kirschkuchen was so infatuated with the golden shackles and collar that he put them on without a second thought.

In part due to his hubris, he managed to fall for the citizens plan. As soon as he wore the gold vestments, the citizens link chains to the shackles and collar. They dragged him out of his own kingdom and locked him away in a giant cave within Dragon Valley.

The citizens laughed and cheered as soon as the Tyrant King was put away. No longer did they have to tend to The Tyrant King's every whim. No longer did they have to fear that insubordination would lead to death. No longer did they have to slave away for a King who did so little for them. Finally, they live in peace.

But, Legends still say that he may be alive in that cave within the Dragon Valley. Waiting for someone to release him, so he can finally enact his revenge.

Mein ehrlicher Kuchen

Ein Kuchen ohne Hilfe eines professionellen Bäckers kann vorteilhaft sein. Ich habe heute einmal einen Kuchen gebacken.  Es ist nichts besonderes: Hefeteig, Kirschen aus dem Glas und Streusel.
