There's very little left of Clint's shirt, which seems to be a theme with him, and what's left smells strongly of smoke and the sharp crackling of explosives. He's limping badly, avoiding putting weight on his left leg if he can avoid it - except for when he forgets, and his whole face twists in pain.

And still, somehow, that ugly santa hat is still glued to his head, the sad plastic mistletoe half-melted but still pathetically hopeful.

Bucky reaches up to flick at it, startling Clint's eyes back to meet his - he'd been staring after the blonde firefighter like a sad puppy.

"Still determined this thing is gonna work, huh?"

"Bucky!" Clint says, a little too loud, so at least one of his aids has likely died - that or his ears are ringing from the chaos of exploding manhole covers. He's lost the sad look in an instant, familiar grin back in place, causing a familiar twist low in Bucky's belly. He sighs and holds out his arm and Clint takes it like Bucky's his fella, which wasn't what Bucky was going for but he ain't gonna complain.

"You're a hopeless romantic," Bucky tells him, and Clint's grin is kinda lopsided.

"Mostly just hopeless," Clint tells him, and Bucky rolls his eyes and reaches up to tug the mistletoe again, pulling the santa hat down over his eyes so he can't see how red Bucky's ears get when he presses a quick darting kiss to Clint's mouth.
