Kisstober 2 - Fluffy Hours
"It will be very hard---If......when things are safer, Emeline already said you could see him again. You know I wouldn't keep him from you either. Not like those village parents you told me stories about. We are all a group. We will help your sister, and give those people hell for what they did to you."
Orianna reached up and touched his cheek with her fingertips, "You are such a good man, Muzan. I won't let anything happen to you, your son, Emeline, your parents, any of our friends. I will do everything in my power to keep them all safe."
He laughed a little, "Well, get in line. Because I won't let anything happen to them either, or you. Not if I can help it."
She smiled up at him, rubbing his cheek with her thumb, then frowned, "I need to stop ruining your day... That all just sort of... spilled out again... Please... don't tell anyone what I told you. They don't need to know. You didn't need to know. You silver tongued fox. And when we visit your son again, I should have a bit more control over my emotions."
"I wouldn't call my day ruined. It's ok. And I won't tell them." He laughed, "I didn't get the nickname 'Zan the Fox-Tongue' for nothing," and he winked at her.
She chuckled, "Very true. You just need... you know what? I'm going to stop telling you to not be nice. I see now that it's impossible to get you to stop caring. SO I begrudgingly accept your kindness. You get to deal with all the grumbles though. Aren't you lucky."
He grinned at her, "Ah! I see you finally notice how I've been ignoring that. Good for you."
She narrowed her eyes at him, "Mm, so it was something you were actively doing. I should have known." Her expression softened, "Hmm, I need better ways of showing appreciation than always wanting to give you a kiss. It isn't something you want or like. How would you like me to show my appreciation? I'm not good at this sort of thing."
He remembered their conversation back on the Ladyhawk. At the time he had been anxious over seeing Emeline again, not knowing where they stood. Now that they had been able to talk, his own feelings had become clearer to him. He knew it was time to let Emeline go. He had been holding onto some hope that he would be able to come back to her one day, but he knew how selfish it was, and now it may never happen. He had also realized that his growing affection for Orianna was more than just that of a good friend, and he wasn’t sure what to do about it yet.
He looked down at Orianna, "I..never said I didn't like them." He brushed her hair out of her face and leaned down to kiss her on the forehead. "Hm, your way isn't so bad..." Then he smiled, "Now come, let's find the other two before they start wondering where we are."
An immediate intense blush filled her face, "Wha... why... you.. you make no sense!" She lightly punched his shoulder then reached up and gently grabbed the sides of his face, tilting his head down so she could reach his forehead to give him a forehead kiss as well.
He just laughed, and began walking towards their meeting point with an arm around her shoulder. She put her arm around his waist and leaned her head on him lightly. It was a tight grip, but not uncomfortable. "You're so weird..." she told him.
