[start image id 1]: An illustration of the artist’s Welcome Home OC, Kit Quinn! Kit is a patchwork cat with red, yellow and blue patches all over her. She has cotton in her ears, and pins acting as her earrings and whiskers. She has a big velvet bow on her neck, a music-themed off-the-shoulder shirt, and a rainbow skort. Her tail is a microphone, which she is currently pretending to sing in as she winks at the viewer. [end image id 1]
[start image id 2]: A doodle sheet of Kit. It shows her full body profile (she says hi as she waves a paw and her microphone tail) and her colour palette. On the left is a bust shot of her, with captions pointing to her ears that has cotton in it to act as earplugs and her pins which act as earrings and whiskers, all of which are removable in a tiny little doodle. Another doodle shows her smiling alongside Sally Starlet, caption stating that they hang out together and help each other out with their performances. [end image id 2]
With a love for all things music and knack for instruments of any kind, Kit Quinn is The Neighbourhood’s local musician! Always bringing life to any place they go with a song, it’s easy to track down them down with their colourful patchwork pattern and humming in the distance.
I saw Welcome Home in my YouTube recommendations back then and I have to say, I’m really happy I ended up watching a video about it, because it’s such an interesting concept and also, the art is so yummy. It’s such a good art style that catches the eyes.
I never planned on making an OC for the series, but my brain said “hey, what if cat but with microphone tail and speaker ears” and it convinced me to do one. I didn’t end up putting speaker ears on them, but here’s my OC Kit Quinn! They do little shows with Sally and hangs around her a whole lot. They’re besties!
