The man in the back of that taxi is myself, many years ago, when I was younger and more naive than I am now. If I could go back in time, I would tell him that a light-grey suit looks good but it is easier to hide in a darker shade. I would tell him that he is about to receive sad news about someone he loves very much. And I would tell him to stay at the Hotel Denouement instead of leaving in a taxi with his sister. But I cannot change the past any more than I could stop that taxi from driving away.
