What kind of legitimately bad interactions (as you said) have people had with loki? I just started working with him and thats a little worrying...
Mostly ones that involved Loki choosing his own shenanigans over being considerate. Loki’s a sociable god who absolutely loves being involved, but he’s also a trickster who doesn’t often prioritize being “polite” and “agreeable” in his baseline interactions. It’s not because he doesn’t value having good relationships—it’s just not something he seeks out with everyone.
Here’s the thing though: We can have bad interactions with any deity. Gods are wise beings who know how to interact with people, but they’re also individuals with their own personalities, methods, and priorities. Incompatibility can happen. We don’t always get along with everyone we meet and it’s the same with deities.
But just because bad interactions are possible doesn’t mean they’re going to happen. I know plenty of people who have great relationships with Loki. He’s only ever tried to build trust and mutual-fulfillment in mine (with the exception of one time, but it turned out for the better by the end of it). But I also happen to really enjoy Loki’s energies; he’s no less trickster-y around me just because there’s respect in our relationship.
Ultimately, bad experiences are not something you should worry about unless Loki has given you a reason to be concerned.
