i love the cat!mick au smmm!! How do you think mick would react to other animals??

hi there!! this is a great question!

ok, for starters: he has a love hate relationship with dogs. he’s generally nervous around them, and probably would avoid them altogether. vince, being a dog person, would probably forget this and bring his little dogs over whenever they hang out and would then watch as micks tail puffs up and he starts hissing. of course, vince’s dogs wouldn’t understand and would probably react and start barking or something… which would only scare mick even more. he got airplane ears one time and vince knew that was a cue to get the dogs out of the room asap. even random dogs on the street makes him a bit anxious, but he’s better at hiding it in public. he’d probably just do everything he can to avoid them, like walking on the other side of the road if he sees one coming. still, he knows they aren’t bad and he shouldn’t be scared of them. that innate cat mindset just makes him anxious about them. maybe the rest of the band would try to do some sort of exposure therapy on him to get him over his fear… i don’t know if it would work or not though.

birds are another animal he reacts to awfully. cats like to chase birds and hunt them or whatever and… mick catches himself doing that. if the band leaves mick alone outside for too long, they can catch him running around chasing a bird. that’s just an instinct engrained in him so… most of the time the band has to accompany him outside to make sure he’s not losing focus of whatever it is he’s out there to do. cause TRUST he will be chasing some innocent bird. this is the same with small rodents, do not trust that mf to let one skitter by him without a fight!! actually… any animal a cat can hunt should not be left alone with mick… he will try to hunt them.

let’s just say the crue refuses to keep any pets with mick around. their animals either stay home when they’re working (and not working), or they put them up for adoption when they realize micks going to be around them for a good while. micks already a pet for the band… maybe they don’t need any other pets??

ok, so yes cat!mick did start out as a little ginger kitty. and i do think he was a stereotypical crazy ass orange cat, very hyper and all that. his time in whitehorse was peak crazy orange cat behaviour, like everyone in that band had to adjust to the fact that they just adopted a feral orange cat and he lives up to that title! (ginger cat!mick knocking down glasses and instruments just for the hell of it, biting literally anyone because he can, scratching up furniture cause he’s bored… you know, typical evil little orange cat behaviour.)

i’d like to think he had an accident that changed his hair/fur colour (maybe an car accident with a truck carrying black ink??), and it’s just a permanent thing now. not that he’d complain about it, he always explains the incident away with a joke about wanting a new look either way. plus, with a new hair/fur colour comes a whole new personality. he still has the crazy orange cat genes but he’s much more tame. like he’ll still do unexplainable things (like scratching up nikki’s new leather jacket because he told him to do something), but it’s only on the rare occasions when he gets that certain orange cat urge to do something crazy.

(but if you want to imagine cat!mick dying his fur pitch black, i won’t stop you, i’ll admit that would be a funny sight to see tbh… just this little guy having to turn around as best as he can to dye his tail is such an amazing thing to imagine!)

Do you think if Sharon and kitty!Mick went fishing, Mick would try to catch fish with his mouth? Like jumping into the nasty water and chomping down on a fish, standing in front of a very disgusted Sharon with a (still alive)fish in his mouth, soaking wet. Like I know cats don't like water, but I've seen some do that?

ok i could probably imagine this one oomfie!! terribly disgusting but… micks never been the most clean kitty in the first place. the cat instincts always come out at the worst times. maybe mick gets a bonus at work and, to splurge a bit, he rents out a little cheap cottage to bring him and his family to during the summer. mick, of course, would want to teach sharon how to fish… cause there sure ain’t anything else to do at the cottage.

he’s in the middle of teaching her how to reel in a fish when his ears perk up. he can hear something in the water and his first instinct is to just jump in… so he does. sharon is calling out for him, trying to get him to come back, but he’s already in too deep. before she knows it, he’s coming back up to the surface, this time with a fish in his mouth. she’d be glad that the kittens are a little farther away so they can’t see their dad being reckless, cause knowing those two, they’d try to copy him! he comes back to her, soaking wet and the fish still in his mouth. his eyes are shining though, and it’s clear he wants her to congratulate him on such a good hunt. and she can muster is a thumbs up. it’s very clear that whole ordeal disgusted the hell out of her, and maybe she whines about him getting all wet and dirty from the very unclean water he just jumped into. then, she tells him to get it out of his mouth and throw it back into the ocean. really… she doesn’t want to cook it, and she doesn’t want him to have it in his mouth (who knows what part of the ocean that fish came from!). oh and also… if cats don’t like water that means mick doesn’t shower very often… but now he can say he’s had a proper bath! does it matter that he smells like dirty ocean water? well… not to mick it does! sharon, however, might have to convince him to take a proper shower if the smell gets to bad!

what a silly kitty getting all dirty like that! just to catch a little fish they’d end up throwing back in the water either way!<333 ughhh going crazy over how cute this is oomfie<333

Now for starters I feel it would take time for Mick in general to get comfortable enough to steal clothes from his bandmates. I feel in the beginning/early crüe era it would be more so him borrowing things for shows because he had like two shirts to his name at the time, but a bit later when he does get more comfortable I think it would be a normal occurrence. Like maybe it's getting colder or it's a particularly chilly day and one of Nikki or Tommy's sweaters goes missing and as they're looking for it Mick walks by in said sweater. The sleeves are swamping his hands, the collar drapes over his collarbones, the hem reaches about mid thigh and they can't help but stare. Obviously when confronted about it Mick plays it cool, "I'm just cold, I'll give it back" or "it's all that was available, I'll buy myself more clothes when I can" but it starts to stem out into something else....

Mick shortly realizes that he really likes "borrowing" his bandmates clothes, maybe even a lil too much... Maybe because it's just comfortable, I mean who wouldn't be in an oversized T-shirt? Who wouldn't be able to relax in warm sweatpants and a hoodie that makes you all toasty? But even if he won't admit it he's starting to enjoy the familiarity? Does the fabric smell like booze, cigarettes, and perhaps BO? Perchance. But is it familiar and low-key comforting? Definitely.

I feel as though if it were cat!Mick the crüe would gripe about Mick shedding and his fur/hair getting on their clothes but they can't deny their little kitty guitarist looks utterly adorable in their clothing.

Ughhh I wanna give kitty!Mick smooches so bad. Maybe give him some warm tea and cuddle with him and pet him while watching old cartoons and listening to him purr. Maybe fall asleep with him in my arms.....UGHHH I can't!!!

this is it all of this is so accurate and true and it definitely happened!!! (i was there i was the lamp) from mick being hesitant to take any of their clothes to being at wits end (being a cold boy) and having no choice but to swipe a sweater from tommy or nikki (or if they’re also sharing their clothes, both of theirs). the terror twins notice (because mick is quite literally swamped in fabric), and mick can only lamely tell them he’ll give it back BUT i think the terror twins would ask for it back and would let him keep it. he just looks so cute with that big ass sweater on and the most cute little sweater paws… AUGHHHHH THIS IS SO CUTEEEEE!!!!!

also cat!mick getting his fur on the crues clothes and the band pretends to be displeased about it (they are annoyed but not enough to really scold the guy), because at the end of the day isn’t it sooooo cute seeing your little cat friend drowning in your sweater. even if that means getting fur on it and having to wash it way too often.

Thinking about Mick trying expensive food for the first time and his pupils dilating like a cat zoning In on a toy cause it's so good. The rest of the band is just watching him as he eats cause he seems so genuinely happy.

oh cat!mick… you are so beloved <333 this is so funny and cute thoughhhhh!!! his metaphorical cat ears would perk up at the taste too, just all his senses delighted at this wonderful new taste. he’d just chow down all happy and giddy about his now new favourite food while the rest of the band watches on. they probably wouldn’t be able to focus on eating their own food because they’re so enamoured by how happy their old man is (they probably never seen him so happy until that moment). sorry, i just love comparing this man to a cat cause… that’s what he is /j

i love rewatching that interview so much omg!! that’s the one thing i’ve always noticed from that interview. his raspy voice, and what i guess we can now call his purrs LMAOO. ofc the cause of it was the fact that he only had one vocal cord working at that point, but yeah… essentially he was purring. purring like an elderly cat probably would too. (also i totally don’t think he sounds really hot with that raspy voice, i never ever said that and i do not think that occasionally /sar)

Thinking about baby kitty!Mick watching momma deal make breakfast and getting scared by the toaster popping up....

Like he flinches and his ears go back, momma deal struggling not to laugh as he lets out little hisses at the toaster 😭

omg wait but why is waiting for toast to pop up in the toaster actually the most scary thing ever. imma sympathize with baby kitty!mick cause that shit is actually terrifying!!

i’d like to imagine kitty!mick makes it worse by staring at the toaster for a bit too long. for some reason he’s just transfixed by it, wondering if the bread is going to get stuck in there forever, but then, before he can even blink, the toast pops up with a loud ding and mick is immediately flinching. his ears airplane and he’s so embarrassed he runs under the table and pouts. his moms got one eye on the toaster and the other on him. she tries not to laugh as mick pops his little head back out from under the table and starts hissing at this inanimate object for scaring him. it would take him a real long time to get used to said toaster and he almost always gets scared by it even after momma deal tries to teach him about the mechanics of it. it would be even funnier if, because he’s so young, he accidentally develops a lifelong fear of toasters because he associates it with getting scared.

i’d love to just imagine older kitty!mick cowering whenever he puts bread in the toaster, and then the ppl around him wondering what is wrong with him (like his wife, who thinks he’s being dramatic at first but then realizes he’s actually terrified of toasters, or maybe his kids who he accidentally passes his fear onto them).

ok, i’ll stop here but i think you’ve just created a funny lil hc for kitty!mick! a fear of toasters… builds character ofc!
