Boo pooped on our bed… on me, on my blanket… yesterday morning. He learned poop on bed is a surefire way to wake up humans a year ago after we went on a trip and he pooped on the bed out of stress.

This evening, though, he peed on the rug. Well, not on the rug, somewhat luckily, on a shirt that was on a piece of cardboard in the rug. We began cleaning it up and he threw up his dinner. Then he pooped on a different rug.

Hes pooped places but never peed anywhere except his litter box. And while he throws up occasionally, its usually just the hairball with no food residue. Or grass we tracked in from outside.

Im now very worried about him. Im going to call the vet tomorrow and see when the first available appointment is. I’ll ask if they think i should go to a different, emergency vet.

I set up another litterbox, he has plenty of water, i gave him some moistened treats so he would get extra water. He is licking his butt a lot which some sources could be a sign of irritation down there.

If anyone has some advice feel free to let me know. I know that urinary issues are serious in older male cats so i am panicking a little.

This is Boos iPad for when he needs to be electronically entertained.

We have really struggled to entertain boo for as long as we have had him. Some fishing rod toys work but they have to be played with in a very specific way, and he liked under the door games. He will also accept string games IF we run across the house and he can follow. If you sit in a chair and play with him he will not think you are dedicated enough.

Im always doubtful of electronic cat toys because they seem like they wouldnt hold up to a lot of play but my partners family gave us this one for christmas and boo does seem to like it.
