You know, I wasn’t even going to post about this because I am very anti-callout culture most of the time but I have something I would like to say.
One thing I would like to say before I start talking. Do not hunt down this person and do NOT harass him. Harassment is unacceptable no matter the context. If you stumble across him somehow, just use the block button and move on.
recently, a friend of mine (who i am keeping anonymous) brought to my attention that he found out that someone was making fun of my art on Twitter and provided screenshots. I had no idea because I don’t use Twitter. (Also, if my friend is reading this, once again thank you). It turns out that a former friend/moot of mine who I blocked a while ago for personal reasons was doing it.
(I am also keeping the person anonymous because I know for a fact that she is quite young. Like I said, I don’t want people harassing her. If I catch any of you doing that I will bite you).
Now, I’m not really upset about the fact this person said that he thinks my art is bad. My art style is not for everyone and I understand why someone would dislike it.
My issue is that he was reposting my art on Twitter (You know, the hateful doxxing website.) of all places and made fun of it in a public space rather than privately with friends. I find it hilarious that this person automatically assumed that I blocked her because I hate her when that is actually not true. I blocked him for a different reason. (I found out that at the time, she was actually not old enough to use discord/tumblr etc while I was friends w him and I am a teenager. So I was not comfortable with that).
Anyway, if the original poster is somehow reading this, I just want you to know that this behavior is unacceptable, no matter the context. I understand that you’re young, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t take accountability for your actions. That doesn’t exempt you from making mistakes. You can’t use the fact you’re young as a “not take accountability” card. All that I ask is that you respect the fact that i blocked you instead of making petty and immature tweets about how I “hate” you. Even if my art is “dog shit” at least I don’t go around claiming people who blocked me did because they hate me. At least i dont disrespect people’s boundaries and make tweets/posts claiming that people who have blocked me have “dogshit” Art styles. Because, like I said, that’s disrespectful and fucked up.
Also, delete the tweets as well. That would be nice. I don’t want ZaDr haters that would probably dox me on Twitter having access to my art. Also, get off Twitter. I’m genuinely serious. As someone who used Twitter when I was around your age, get off that horrible dumpster-fire of a website. I doubt you’ll listen to me because I definitely wouldn’t have at your age, but the point still stands. Anyways, thanks for reading if you somehow did.
feeling genuinely physically ill because nothing I love to do is bringing me any joy and I just feel an abject sense of dread and anxiety at the time I’ve lost just sitting here feeling unable to do anything. Looking at my art and feeling no pride or happiness whatsoever. Looking at games on my desktop and feeling like it’d be burdensome to even try and open them. Don’t want to watch any new videos because I don’t even feel like I have the bandwidth for them. Feeling uninspired and exhausted. What is fucking wrong with me
