Inktober Day 20: Uncharted 🦕⛵The kitty adventurer has made a new discovery. Nessy has discovered her too. ✨

Say what you want, but Marlene never got kidnapped by a UFO cult when she was with Reeve. I always imagined Reeve’s Adventures in Babysitting being a hilarious subplot and full 80′s movie comedy gold consisting of:

- Reeve googling “can toddlers die from eating an entire box of animal crackers” and accidentally typing it into the Avalanche group chat instead, inciting Barret rage.

- If Marlene is having a tantrum or won’t sleep, the only way to shut her up is by singing the Lil Stamp song. Over and over and over. 

- Bonus context of Reeve despising Lil Stamp due to having to constantly repaint that damn cartoon dog after Avalanche keeps messing with it and graffiting it all over Midgar. As Head of Urban Development, he constantly hears “Reeve, someone wrote anarchist shit all over the Lil Stamps again. Are your people gonna clean that up or what?” Besides, he’s a cat person.

- Extra bonus context if Reeve has to panic-sing the Lil Stamp song to keep Marlene from freaking out during a high speed escape-Midgar chase.

- Reeve makes awesome school lunches. But also tried to Venmo Barret a grocery bill once.

- School field trip to the Shinra museum wherein all of the kids crowd around him after seeing the hologram and go “are you really the Director?” 

- Bonus points if one kid remarks “my parents say you let the city go to shit” and Marlene sucker punches said sassy kindergartner.

- Reeve doesn’t know how to install a car seat, despite being Shinra’s top engineer.

- He awkwardly attends at least one parent-teacher conference and/or preschool awards ceremony. 

- Marlene totally broke him out of Shinra jail.

- She thinks Reeve plays some MMORPG with her dad and their friends after watching him control Cait Sith from the data pad. Annoyed that she can’t play too.

- Accidentally left her in the parking garage while getting arrested. Reno noticed and broke the car window after googling protocol for unattended toddlers in cars. Promptly walked away after, his duty was done.

- Freaks out when Marlene plays with all the Cait Sith plushies. They’re collectibles, dammit. 

- Trying to learn common core maths despite having an engineering degree. 

- Going to an animal shelter to pet all the cats. Reeve loves cats, but his work schedule is too busy for a real one.

- Definitely has one of those “uncles aren’t completely useless, they can be used as bad examples” shirts.

- Might’ve accidentally told her she’s adopted.

- Let’s her have all the candy and stay up as late as she wants though.

- Marlene was super sad when he left her in Kalm and went back to evacuate Midgar. Tells people her babysitter went to go save the world.

- Plz give him 5-stars on Care.com. Not good with kids, but needs the money to fund the WRO.
