The city wasn't an environment Nepeta was accustomed to. Why did she even stumble upon one, she didn't know. There was nothing to do here and nowhere to go. Gotham was just a dark, gloomy city and had nothing admirable about it for a young troll who loved nature and the wide-open space of it.
Then there was a startled cry for help, quickly snapping her to attention. She ran to see what was the ruckus and found searchlights. Upon it was a large silhouette the shape of a... a CAT!
Nepeta couldn't see who was pursuing the mysterious cat woman, who she decided to follow. But the troll lost track of her, when the woman had suddenly leapt onto a building and disapeared from sight.
Nepeta sighed, disappointed that she wasn't able to meet this interesting feline woman. She would've shared so much in common with her.
She decided to saunter across the city more until she fully lost interest with it. Little did she know, she was being watched from afar. And to her surprise, the very same cat jumped right in front of her.
"Well, well, I thought I was the only cat around here," said the woman with a chuckle, "You're new here, aren't ya, kid?"
Nepeta only stood with her mouth open in shock.
"Kid?" asked the woman with concern, "I'm not gonna hurt yo-"
"Oh my gosh!" interjected Nepeta, "I saw you back there being all cool and jumping onto places! You're so awesome!"
Selina raised a brow, at least it would be visible if she didn't wear a mask, "Wow I.. didn't think I'd already gain a fan from you. I'm flattered, miss! So what's your name?"
"Me?" Nepeta started to stammer, "I-i'm Nepeta Leijon."
"Pleasure to meet you, Nepeta. You can just call me Catwoman for now."
"Hey, hey, kid, don't get so excited! Besides, I work alone."
Nepeta tilted her head, puzzled as to what she mean, "Work?"
Selina pulled out a precious, jeweled necklace, her most recent catch, "Yeah, you know. I'm a collector, I guess you can say. I kinda like you, but I wouldn't want to put you in such a risk."
"How would it be a risk? You mean like those people who chased you for it? Don't worry! I hunt down things all the time!"
Selina smiled warmly at the troll, "I'm sure you do. Hey you know, one of these days we might meet up again. Just as long as you know, don't report me to any authorities."
"I dunno why I'd do that. You seem very nice! Well, it was nice seeing you anyway! And by the way, your costume's nice!"
"Thanks," replied Catwoman, "I like yours too. Those horns especially. So cute."
"Hmm?" Nepeta started rubbing her cat-ear like horns, "Oh this isn't a costume!"
