Hi so I do this thing sometimes where I get a message and I have to think about how to answer, so I put it aside to come back to later. And then I spend weeks, or months, or in one case I realised today a year and a half occasionally (daily) thinking that I should answer that message. ADHD, man. Ugh.
Anyway! So originally the dazaicats were going to be actual feline copies of Dazai with No Longer Kitten powers, but that wouldn't work because they would have nullified the Ability that was used on Chuuya and popped themselves out of existence. I was very disgruntled when I realised this, as certain people who were forced to listen to my complaining will attest.
Also originally I wanted the Ability that was used against Chuuya to be called Nemesis, because if anything is more his nemesis than multiple feline Dazais idek what it is. But the only author I could find who wrote anything called Nemesis was one Agatha Christie (it's actually my favourite of hers, recommended) which clearly wasn't going to work.
Also also, the reason there were 8 dazaicats was because @quinnlocke said something about one for each of his lives... so real Dazai was life #9 and the only one left in the end. :3
