Bloodline swap Kivolo and Joster perhaps…
Joster Ofidis cares about 1 thing and 1 thing only (books), and Kivolo Caeron might be Julikas dream man (Kivolo but normal) /j
compared to the things remora would do for love, i guess tasting expired yogurt isn’t the WORST price to pay
@indig0trolls
❄️ for Kivolo but if I may.... I'd like to hear straight from the horse's mouth :)c
How you feelin', buddy?
> You somehow manage to catch Kivolo, for the first time since the ball started, without his apparent date, having left her in the company of his first mate, who had (in a rare acknowledgement of fleet expectations) also decided to attend. He's practically aglow with excitement, a giddy smile on his face as he's ordering beverages for two at the bar. Non-alcoholic, of course. He doesn't usually drink at such events. A man of his size could make a mess of things if he found he suddenly couldn't hold his cups.
> He notices you and turns his toothy smile to you, now.
"Oh! my friend, it's been a while! I'm well! I'm having a lot of fun. Not that I don't usually, at these sort of events, but..."
> He laughs sheepishly, you've caught him on an off foot.
"My friend agreed to accompany me this evening, we've even managed to coordinate to be properly on theme! And more to the point, she seems to be... actually enjoying herself, too."
> The outfit, you'll note, is as ostentatious as the theme would have it. He is properly dressed for a venetian carnivale, his brightly patterned suit opulently embroidered and set with jewels, and he carries a porcelain halfmask to match, half a set of the Masks of Theatre: Tragedy, in his case.
> He looks across the way to see that Julika is still happily engrossed in conversation, the tip of his tail twitching in anticipation of returning to it himself.
"We've even danced a couple times. It's been good. I'm glad I decided to ask her to join me."
> He smiles softly at her from afar. He's got it so bad, but at least he's being normal about it right now.
Kivolo if you could have any dream pet with its perfect care needs set up magically with no effort on your part (even self maintaining unless you enjoy the care aspect), what would you pick?
> Wow! Kivolo is doing paperwork for once, but he looks up and smiles pleasantly at you.
"Oh a... pet? I mean.. My life doesn't really lend to pet keeping, though I heard fish do well in space so maybe a very, very spoiled beta fish?"
> He tilts his head, and smiles again.
"But if you're asking, 100% pure hypothetical, anything goes, anything could live in space happily... I've discovered a recent fondness for cats. Very cuddly creatures."
Are you still looking into that rebel that's obsessed with her?
> Volo curls a lip and then heaves a long, heavy sigh.
I am, yes. Taegan is... a condundrum, to be sure, but I think..... I feel confident in saying that they aren't a physical threat to Jules--I'm sorry, Miss Picket.
> He runs a hand down his face, tail twitching.
I have a bit more digging to do still, I think, but... I'm starting to understand the relationship they have on some level.
Also Kivolo your model there looks really nice- How long did that one take you? :0
Also, how long do they usually take to make? Seems like a lot of work!
> He looks down at it and smiles, and then turns his attention back to you.
Thank you very much. This is a Estera-A16, one of my favs. Took me a total of.... 6 hours, spaced over the course of the last week.
> He scratches his nose, and twitches a fin.
How long they take depends on the size of complexity of the model in question, but I usually stick to larger projects. This one was a gift though.
Volo, anything exciting going on with you?
> Wow!! You've caught him building one of his ship models, a look of total concentration on his face, tail swishing slowly and rhythmically behind him. He looks up when you speak though and smiles broadly. That's his friend!
Oh! Hello, long time no see, my friend! How have you been?
> He glances down at his modelling kit and starts arranging the tools in front of him.
I've not been up to much besides work, I'm afraid. Aside from this, obviously.
Ms. Picket has been planetside for a little while now, or on other ship assignments. It's been a little dull, but I've been keeping up with her works.
