I JUST HAD AN IDEA FOR THE EXTENDED KIZZYVERSE LORE
Okay so, the reason Blintz is Like That is because her kib was murdered.
She thinks it was her long-time rival, Asphodel (white with red horns)
back when they were younger, they had a friendly rivalry thing, as they are both high-ranking members of society, being Betas. This eventually led to them mating, but Asphodel left and started his own little pack before anything came of it.
Now, what I originally had planned was that Blintz started her own pack and had a kib with someone else, but that doesn’t make sense for a few reasons
Namely, I’d have to explain where the fuck her mate went, and why the kib was killed.
See, while Blintz is dead certain it was Asphodel who killed her kib, it was actually that middle white vultrix, a member of Asphodel’s new pack. If Blintz had just gone off and done her own thing, he’d have had no reason to kill the kib
But what if the kib was actually the child of Blintz and Asphodel? The male from Asphodel’s pack would have come to kill the kib as he felt it would threaten his leader’s loyalty to his new pack. Asphodel has a new mate now, wouldn’t want him to have a reason to leave her. (although. Helena (bottom grey with 2 sets of horns) ends up dying anyway oops)
But here’s the thing- white and black fur was left at the scene of the crime, and Blintz had never met any of Asphodel’s pack. She was content to be alone, she’s always been a loner. So she comes home to find her kib dead, with fur that looks like Asphodel’s and smells like him and a few others lingering around. And she knows Asphodel, she’s known him all her life. She assumes he thought the kib was from some other male and killed it out of jealousy.
And she swears vengeance. Years later she actually DOES end up finding out where Asphodel’s new kib, Tulip (bottom right), lives. But she’s no child-killer. She pretends like she has no idea about Tulip’s parentage, and simply continues taking care of and protecting this new child she’s found.
