klaroline au season. week one: rebellion. 

During World War II, Niklaus Mikaelson, a British expatiate and jaded owner of a the most popular nightclub in Casablanca meets once again his old flame, Caroline Forbes, who previously abandoned him with no explanation, and arrived with her husband, the fugitive resistance leader Stefan Salvatore who needs the letters of transit to flee the city. Klaus has to decide whether give them the letters of transit or not.

Spotlight Sunday

Summary: She skipped bail and he’s tasked to track her down. As a seasoned bounty hunter, it’s a fairly routine job on paper for Klaus Mikaelson but then he meets Caroline Forbes and has no idea what to do with her.

Reason to Read: Klaus is a bounty hunter, isn’t that enough? No? Caroline being a witty and hilarious fugitive? No? You want more reason? Well, let tell you that this fic is misssophiachase gold. Caroline is fleeing the state because she committed a crime. Klaus is chasing after her not only because of his job but due to an uncomfortable situation with a non-ex-girlfriend. Klaus is clever but Caroline is just about five steps ahead, quickly figuring out who Klaus is. 

There are only four chapters and I am hoping  the author updates soon (but no pressure). This fic is hilarious and has the foundation for a good cat and mouse game mixed with the hallmark vibes. I cannot wait to learn what Caroline had done and see the two of them fall in love.....and most likely be idiots because of it.

Midnight Rescue - (Spotlight Sunday)

My next drabble for @klaroline-event Spotlight Sunday is written by the lovely and talented @helpfulfairy

My synopsis: Caroline spends an evening wrangling her drunk boyfriend Klaus and his equally drunk (and flirty) friend Marcel. She isn’t expecting Klaus’ phone to ring while its owner is passed out but answers and rushes to help Henrik. 

Why I Liked It: Klaroline domesticity at it’s very best! Something we never got to see and this drabble is a wonderful sneak peek into the world that could be. I am absolutely trash for this and the fact adorable Henrik and witty Marcel were thrown into the mix just made it all the better. 

Excerpt: “She laughed as Klaus and Marcel had drunkenly tried to serenade her, before he and Marcel had spent the rest of the ride complimenting Klaus on catching her attention long enough for her to agree to be his girlfriend, before turning on her and asking if she had some screws loose that had caused her to look twice and stick around.”

I’ll Place the Moon Within Your Heart - (Spotlight Sunday Rec)

Thanks to @klaroline-event for bringing us Spotlight Sunday each and every week, you are too good for this world. 

My aforementioned drabble is by the amazingly talented and equally lovely @kiaraalexisklay

My synopsis: It’s Halloween and what better time than that to attend a masquerade ball? I mean what trouble could you get into? It’s not like you’re going to run into..say your soulmate, right? 

Trick or treat just took on a whole new meaning. 

Why I liked it: I love this writer anyway but this drabble was wonderful. I was constantly on the edge of my couch wondering what would transpire. The sexual tension was at a 10 and that was before they even met. Then he appears, all sexy (just how I like it). The build up was everything.

Excerpt: “For someone who probably only had an inch or two on her own tall frame, the sheer presence and danger that rolled off his lean frame was distracting, especially dressed as he was, in shades of black and antiqued gold. Her every childhood David Bowie as the Goblin King fantasies had come to life and once more her fangs threatened to emerge with the sudden bout of arousal that nearly took her by surprise.”
