Alya: Hey girl, where were you?!

Mari: Hey, sorry I was busy doing stuff

Adrien: I’m stuff *winks*

Mari: *flusteredness*

HeartRate:

Nath: Alix why are you late?

Alix: Me and Kim were fucking in the closet

Kim: Hell yeah we were!

Alix and Kim: *high five*

Heartrate: A Darkness Inside; Part 4:

Everyone was silent. No one seemed to know what to do with the fact that Kim and Alix; two of the toughest people in the school, had just confessed to being terrified of the darkness lurking inside them.

Even Chloe was quiet.

“Well,” Mrs. Bustier said, “Thank you, Kim. Would anyone else like to—?”

“There’s more,” Kim interrupted, “Um, sorry. But I need to say something else.”

Mrs. Bustier nodded.

Kim took a deep breath, “There’s something I realized recently, and I think I trust you all enough to say it; even Chloe and Sabrina.”

Everyone waited.

“Chloe is a selfish, judgemental jerk.”

Chloe gasped in offense, but didn’t try to retort. She seemed fascinated with where this was going.

“Being a villain obsessed with matters of the heart means I know my own well enough to figure out that I don’t love Chloe,” Kim said, “I don’t think I ever did. But... maybe there’s someone else in this class who I do.”

Kim felt Alix’s eyes on him. He knew her even better than all the others in the class, except maybe Max. She seemed shocked, embarrassed, and maybe, just maybe, a little hopeful.

“Thank you, Kim,” Mrs. Bustier said, “Are you done?”

“Yeah,” Kim said, staring at his desk.

“Alright then,” Mrs. Bustier said, “I saw Nathaniel’s hand next...”

At passing period, the whole class tried to make it seem like they didn’t notice the tension between Alix and Kim.

Except now, Adrien was pretty sure that it might be romantic tension, not aggressive.

Adrien elbowed Nino, “Am I the only one seeing sparks?”

“Between Cupid and Breaker?” Nino asked, using the slang that the entire class used to refer to each other in code names. (They were either their akuma name, or a shortened version, although Adrien wasn’t quite sure why they decided to call him Romeo and Marinette Juliet.)

“The whole class has been seeing it for months, Romeo,” Alya said, “Except for them, and apparently, you.”

“I just don’t like sticking my nose in other people’s business,” Adrien said innocently, “Especially when both of those people could break my nose with a single punch.”

“Max has no-so-low-key been trying to get those two together for years,” Marinette said shyly, “Since he’s the only one neither of them would punch. And the rest of us, even Chloe, have been actually low-key helping for almost that long.”

“Wow,” Adrien said, “That’s... Interesting. Any other ships you’ve been trying to organize that I should know about?”

“Refleka and Fragrence,” Alya said, “But we’re all 90% sure they’re already dating in secret.”

Suddenly, there was a thump, and Adrien turned around to see Alix had pinned Kim against the wall.

“I love you, too, idiot!” She said before Kim leaned down and kissed her.

“Yes!” Max cheered, and Markov joined in.

Actually, the entire class joined in the cheer.

And as they exchanged glances, they could tell that most of them were thinking the exact same thing.

(Now that Cupid and Breaker are together, all we have to do is get Romeo to realize he likes Juliet...)

Finally got brave and used one of the scatterscrolls @tackysnaps gifted me and got a perfect scatter for ol' Klix. Still need to build up more bravery to use the other one but for now I get to fawn over him a little and think of his return to the clan as well as what he did during his absence. Comes back to the clan as an entirely different dragon. It's a good thing Atrys never forgets a face. Or scent.
