i would kill for kludge. he is my absolute favorite guy and i need him to come back. if maximus never apologized to him then ill start crying on the spot. kludge has done nothing wrong in his life ever.

“Are you sure we should link these systems together?”
“No, but I’m about out of ideas.
“Are they even compatible?”
“Of course not, but I’ve kludged it.”
“Kludged?”
“See this horrendous tangle of cables?”
“Yeah.”
“That’s a kludge. Ain’t pretty, but with a little luck it’ll get these two hunks of junk talking to each other—and maybe give us the boost we need to unscramble that mess of Eliksni signals.”
“And then what?”
“Then... we either learn what the Fallen in the outer system had to say about whatever’s going on out there, or... or I burn out both consoles irreparably, and we’re just as in the dark as we are now.”
“You don’t sound too sure about this.”
“That’s the catch about any good kludge: it’s never a sure thing. Ready?”
“For what?”
“To maybe take cover if you feel anything get suddenly hot, or hear a loud noise. I’m gonna flip the switch.”

Kludge and Kalypso are easily some of my favorite Donkey Kong characters in terms of design and it's so sad that they'll probably never really come back for anything meaningful because they were made for DK Barrel Blast of all things
