Survival Knife Mod Update
Modmate 1: Will you please bring me a piece of Parmesan so that I may eat it?
Modmates 2: THE NOODLES ARE READY YOU WHORE!
I redid the handle on my opinel#8, i sanded the handle down and passed a torch over it to darken it then clear coated it. It came out about the same color as coffee which is perfect seeing as how i pretty much run on coffee 😂
Pimped Victorinox .
These really useful lightweight paring knives seem to be grabbing a lot of attention recently thanks to https://www.instagram.com/edsmanifesto/?hl=en
This one I pimped some time ago has seen years of use by me as a gardening knife , the tip was well rounded off and the serrations almost gone for good as they make one of the best weeding tools easily sliding between path paving slabs and patios etc .
After re pointing the tip and etching and stone-washing the blade/ handle which really improves the grip I re cut the serrations and added a basic kydex sheath so ready for a few more years of service .

Nura 3.0 Mod Part 2

Summer is nearly here .
That means me starting to get my camping gear ready again and pimping it up a little where needed .
Ive had this stainless camping cutlery set for many years but since getting a folding Ti Spork it rarely gets used so thought Id modify it to better suit my needs.
I don’t really like shiny things except Cyflect and signal mirrors ! so gave the whole package the etch and stone-wash treatment .
You can see from the second shiny pictute Ive also modified the rounded blade profile into more of a tanto point and have sharpened out the dull serrations which were actually useless but it doesn't seem to have affected the bottle opener at all .
I put Macassar Ebony scales on my new-ish Damascus Skyline over this weekend.
