Knife tips with Toga!
To preserve the longevity of your knife you should always hone and sharpen it! A common misconception is that a steel honing rod will sharpen your knife! This is false. A honing steel is meant to straighten out any dings and dents in the blade and help preserve that original sharpness.
A whetstone is meant for sharpening! Soak thoroughly in water and use the coarse side for a few strikes first before using the fine side! Remember to switch the side of the blade with every strike for perfect evenness, and to always do so at a 20 degree angle whether it’s rod or stone you’re using!
