‘my lord’

      That’s something Sonic is sure he will never get used to. It’s not a title he wants, nor thinks he deserves. He’s never considered himself the leader type. The idea of playing the role of a king has his muscles coiled as if he would spring away and run at any moment. Yet he won’t. Instead Sonic focuses on the way the knight’s shoulders sag, thinking about how moments ago Sir Lancelot doubted whether or not Sonic was even real. A twinge of concern stirs in his chest, but the question comes before he can address it. He smiles and nods his head subtly, furrowing an eye-ridge.

“Yeah... incredibly different,” he replies with a breathy chuckle, before lifting his gaze to focus on the visor covering Sir Lancelot’s face. “My world was similar to this one in the very distant past, but it’s completely changed since then.” Sonic’s smile shifts to something less confident as he looks off to the side.

“If I can be totally honest with ya... I’m not- I... I have a lotta concerns 'bout this situation.”

› ; .             𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐃 && 𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐃 stood sir percival above her mounted height, her lone gaze enough to topple even the tallest of beasts. laevatein rested on its hilt, her gauntlet held palm to its end in case the need for battle arose. never off her guard, she knew when a presence drew near, even when the quietest of them attempted to stalk closer as not to disturb the highest ranking of them. her chest rises && falls to the wind’s courteous graze upon iron-clad features, her words sensing a lull in the silence between them. ❛ - have you no common sense, lancelot ? i would have thought YOU of all knights would know better than to prowl behind an armed guard. - ❜ not even a casted glance will acknowledge the dark one, only a tail flit to draw him closer.

                               ❛ - what brings you by upon the hour ? last i had heard, you were assigned to the western quarter for a commoner report. has the lack of urgency brought you to fault, or is this beyond the concern of a knight — rather attuned for a fellow instead ? - ❜ it’s then that the knight of the grail shifts, visor turning to assumably him stood beside her, a knowing look of patience lain out like a tablecloth for him to set his harvest upon. her voice lowers, a simpler approach for a mere murmur amongst companions ; ❛ - sworn duties aside, how dost thou fair ? surely arondight bears no ill will towards its beholder. - ❜

             for a moment the air swirls between them, a sign from their king — a blessing of consideration. knight of the wind, he had heeded their unspoken request for some offhanded conversation, a little rest between their hard work && high effort to keep camelot safe. a hum nods curtly to the gust as though it had ushered from the king himself, lips parting briefly to concern over the stillness of the other knight. ❛ - your lack of grievance worries me still ; art thou SURE you would prefer no aid on this simple journey ? perhaps an ear to bide the time through the woods could cater to your muddled mind. - ❜

@knightofthelake​ --- THE HERO.

   Sonic had to admit. If there was one thing about the world of Camelot that really intrigued him, it was the well... dopplegangers of his friends he knew back home that lived in this world. They were so... different. Yet eerily similar in the subtlest of ways. In a way, it made him homesick. Sometimes a slight turn of phrase or a mannerism displayed could easily send him back to Amy’s house or Tails’ workshop, reminiscing and longing for that familiarity. 

   Although, Lancelot was... a different case. Considering the fact that well, he didn’t know much about the knight’s doppleganger, personally. Besides well, his trademark hostile attitude anyway. The hedgehog supposed it was one thing that the two had in common--- which was being hard to connect with. After all, he didn’t really take Lancelot for the type to just go out of his way to get to know people, even outside knight duties. For that reason, Sonic was particularly curious.

   “ What does a knight like you do for fun around here anyway ? ” It was a fair enough conversation starter, right? He didn’t think the knight was much of a talker, but it was worth a shot.
