Okay I need to mend an old linen pillowcase. I had several videos saved on Instagram that showed mending holes into different shapes (i.e flowers, stars, etc) all without the use of another piece of fabric attached to the piece. I loved the account because they did it step by step and weren't super fast.

Unfortunately the videos are all gone and I for the life of me I can't find anyone that does something similar diy in steps? Or I am looking at the tags incorrectly. Anyways I am looking for inspiration and help in mending these gashes in the fabric. I am most likely over thinking this but I have always put a piece of fabric behind the tears to fix and embroider over so the thought of not doing it is breaking my brain. At this point suggestions, references or whatever is greatly appreciated

Is there some hack I'm missing when it comes to knitting with bulky in the round? I'm trying to get back into knitting and the first project I choose is a cat bed using bulky yarn that you knit in the round. My goodness this thing is heavy and wears my arms out after one row now. And I'm still in the process of adding a stitch every other row.

So I have a piece I started that I'm really not sure why I started. Originally it was going to be a border piece for a shawl but the shawl length ended up fine just as is. So I have this half finished long piece and I'm unsure if I just bind off or not. What do you do with random pieces, incorporate it into something else or unravel it?
