Ooooh @bigcats-birds-and-books and I are CURIOUS! We’re thinking about Talent vs Skill. Someone comments on an artistic endeavor of yours, knitting, painting, music, writing, what have you, and says WOW YOU’RE SO TALENTED! Lots of people are insulted? Annoyed? At the implication because those things take SKILL to get to where you are! I say they’re intertwined! There’s skill involved, but not everyone is starting at the same place as everyone else and talent is often a component! And still some people just use these words interchangeably and don’t think twice about it.

How do you view creative outlets as mostly Talent vs Skill?

realizing I can’t have ‘em both :(

I have enough really nice/interesting tweedy grey wool/silk yarn to finish one (1) sweater in my size. I have two options worked up almost through the shoulders. (This could be anticlimactic, because I really do not remember whether I pulled the weirder one apart; I think I didn’t want to commit to the garter stitch panel.)
