@tobystarz had the idea that dwellers knocker can really only mimic people talking so that's why they're talking to each other like that Ok

i have a very bad habit of telling the same stories a hundred times and forgetting i ever told them and i always piss off people after the 5th retelling.

i think the knocker would be patient and eat up every bit of story i tell. maybe if i forget too many times i could be told but still encouraged to share

he wants to hear everything i have to say

maybe hes very observant and learns my body language and behaviors and speech patterns and he knows what things can and will make me feel better. find me spiraling like crazy.

he hesitates and just sits beside me.

something nice about such a plain character is that anything said goes. and theres a billion different ways he can be seen. my knocker is lanky and taller than me (im very short in person so hes be taller anyways) but like ive seen ripped knocker designs. Im neutral on buff knocker. leaning to theee no side... unless he isn't unrealistically ripped and just mildly muscular. But i see him as an entity of sort so He has capabilities without physical muscle mass. (strength is needed to weild an axe)
