Be STILL and KNOW that I AM GOD!
So, I got a call from my Aunt last night and she asked "how I was doing?" etc., you know, small talk....Then I reminded her that I would be going to China soon because clearly she forgot with the way the conversation was going....And the first thing she stated was "be careful, because a lot of things are happening on that side of the world" and I responded "Well, I know that GOD will protect me so just keep me in your prayers"....After we hung up I couldn't sleep and tossed and turned for a bit.... so I got up, turn on my lamp and opened my bible....I have a bible with references in the back and it gives you scriptures to read pending how you feel....so I was feeling troubled about my purpose and if i was still in GOD'S WILL....and I found this sentence that read "when you want to know if you are still fulfilling GOD'S PURPOSE in your life...There were several verses listed but one stood out to me and it was Psalms 46:10 "Be still and know that I am GOD".....The holy spirit immediately reminded me that I have been so BUSY trying to get to China and finish up things here that I haven't taken ENOUGH time to just BE STILL and watch GOD work! I have been "busy" DOING everything and OVERWHELMING myself that HE hasn't been able to do what he wants to do because I'm too busy trying to do it for MYSELF! *SIGH* (you would think I should know this already but oh how quickly we forget) I was immediately brought to tears because I say I trust HIM and I know that HE WILL PROVIDE but my actions were stating that "well, just in case then I will try a couple of other things to make sure things work out" but I've learned that WITH GOD, things ALWAYS work out but ONLY according to HIS WILL and HIS TIMING! It probably won't happen the WAY I want it to and HOW I want it to but it WILL HAPPEN.....
So my challenge to YOU is just BE STILL and know that HE is GOD in your life and take some much needed time to SPEND with HIM knowing that HE can and WILL change your situation as long as you TRUST HIM and STOP trying to DO EVERYTHING YOURSELF and let HIM do it for YOU in HIS TIME......
