You were quickly tugged down behind a table before you could be pulled with the force of the crowd, Katsuki's hand not leaving your wrist as he pulled a handgun out of his suit pocket.

"Looks like your performance has been cut short," he grumbled out, taking small glances to where the offenders stood at the other end of the hall — "I need ya to get to the back entrance through the exit door on the left, ya hear me? I'm sure they've got the main entrances surrounded. I'll distract 'em."

You could barely find yourself listening to what he was saying: it felt like there was cotton in your ears. Your head was ringing.

"Hey!" he whisper-shouted.

But you couldn't hear him, not when beyond you both, there were two kids shivering behind a table. A young boy and an older girl.

The boy was crying, hiccuping loudly into the girls chest — and despite the girl's efforts to quiet him to not arise the offenders' attention, his wails were getting louder.

"You listenin'?" Katsuki tugged your arm.

"What about them?" you finally found the words come out of your dry mouth. Katsuki swallowed slowly, something at the tip of his tongue (and you knew his stupid line — "I'm here to protect you, not anyone else."): but instead he cocked his handgun.

"Get 'em n' run."

(You don't think you ever ran that fast in your entire life, heels clicking on the floor with the sound of gunshots behind you only drilling your heartbeat faster — the boy in your arms and the girl at your side.)

Hiii!!! Idk if you're a dub fan at all, buuuut if you are! The VA for Satoru & Dazai also voiced Jinshi in The Apothecary Diaries and he has the same vibe as them heheh. (I'm mainly a dub watcher bc I'm too adhd to watch sub lmao, but there's quite a few very talented English VAs and their one, Kaiji Tang, is sooooo good!!) I'm a huge audio person so if the voice is off I'm just not interested but man, Jinshi is *chefs kiss* like the faux arrogant charm but also the smooth serious moments, ugh loooove. Anyway, thought I'd recommend in case you're a fan of Dazai & Satoru English VA and want mooore! On that note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN!!! satoru: answered here :3 HOWEVER !!!!! i said he always wakes up before me bc he has responsibilities, and in general i think he does wake up earlier just bc his body is used to it, but on days where he's allowed to sleep in and i get up before him, i always let him sleep :') i just stay in bed and listen to his tiny little snores because i don't want to risk disturbing him (i know how badly he needs his rest, and truthfully he is the cutest little sleeper... his mouth open just a little and his snores almost sound like purring and UGHHH he's just so adorable it makes me ill)

ajax: answered here :33 BUT i did mention our little morning routine SOOOO i am hijacking this to discuss that lsdkjflskdjflskdfj ajax and i always do our mornings together, he demands suggests that we shower together, and he does this stupid bit where he tries to make me laugh when we're brushing our teeth to make me spit toothpaste everywhere sldfjsdkfj but i usually just kick him away :33 then i help him do his 'skincare' (it's just lotion it's the only thing he'll let me do but this stupid awful man has perfect skin anyways so it's not like it even matters lsdkfjlsdkfj) but he lets me do it nonetheless, lets me take my time with it and just make it sweet and warm <3 if we have time we drink coffee together in the mornings and after he makes a point to bundle me up in the winter and put my hat/scarf/gloves on for me (even though i insist i don't need them) before we have to go our separate ways for the day <33
