Crowds: What does your muse prefer, the action of Downtown Diamonds and the Circle, or the quiet away from it?

She enjoys both. Yet, she still prefers the bustle of The Circle over that of Downtown Diamonds, not only because she feels comfortable in the casinos, but because spending time in Diamond territory should be limited and mostly reserved for theater visits. Sayge doesn't find many other reasons to cross the border.

But because casinos take so much of her time, her desire for a quiet place is always present. And if tranquility is what she wants, Sayge will look for a place near water and nature, whether it's her own koi ponds in the casino office or any other type of natural running water where she could spend time.

Ghosts: Has your muse ever seen something they couldn’t explain?

Sayge likes to think that she has seen it all, but now and then, something surprises her. When she first crossed the portal to Kadeu, hundred of years ago. She crossed paths with a being she could not explain, not from this plane and neither from any other she had heard of. Almost as if they existed, but they did not. Sayge found her own explanation and linked it to some mundane game and not any sort of magic, but it was something she had never experienced before, and Sayge had experience at being the aim of the tricks of the mind, yet, this was nothing she had come across before.

Sayge has no preference over these, but because of the lack of mana in Kadeu, she feels more at ease with the warmer days, when there's no worry over the weather being a reason to get sick, also the population is less likely to carry a disease when it's hot. Yet she would choose the weather the Fae realm can offer a thousand times, as it should be no surprise, everything is better at the other side of the portal.

"Misread. What a hilarious word." Sayge tucked one of the long locks of hair concealing her face behind her ear. "I have." She stopped speaking for a short moment, only to open her mouth again. "I believed you to be his first mate but it seems you wanted the honor of being named his preferred." Her tone changed, implying how those were not her thoughts but someone else's. "A man I respect said to me these exact words, and he wasn't wrong, he never is..." Her voice cracked, it hurt. "My desire to take it all into my hands was not well seen by him. He called it foolish and handed me a crown of shame that had a hue of orange."

"But what I misread of the situation, others might wonder. Well... He didn't look down on me. He expected me to rise. He expected me to become one of their own. Perhaps not as the preferred, but as the mother of his heir." Sayge tried to masquerade her regrets with a smile and a soft, almost imperceptible shrug of her shoulders. "But the thing is, I do want it all."

"My own fortune." She said, and no other word followed after. It wasn't someone else but herself. If she was doomed, then let it come.

"Perhaps the reasons behind why I still don't give my clan an heir." Her features turned grim as if she didn't wish to speak about the subject, and she didn't want to. "I've heard some of my kin saying it's because no one desired to mate with someone so temperamental. True is, my heir will come when I wish to give birth, not when others say it's time." Her answer wasn't sincere (and it was an enormous lie, she indeed had a clock following her steps like a shadow) even if the misinterpretations of her childless state were false, she wouldn't show her vulnerability to anyone who wouldn't deserve it, but deep down, she wished to see the grin of her future offspring.

She thought her answer for a moment, and a teasing smile came up to her lips, lasting for a second before she spoke. "I met this one Spades some time ago. I wouldn't say we are compatible, not even friends, but I am delighted every time I hear from the Jack. She comes along with the jingle of coins in her pockets, and I click with that." She didn’t hide the meaning behind her words, and neither she tried.

🔪 - A weapon/fighting related headcanon

Sayge's first reaction in a fight is to use her magic against the enemy, and there's nothing better to make her grow a smile than crushing their luck.

Bad luck.

Almost always using their own weapons to her benefit; the string of an archery bow breaking, arrows losing their direction and hitting a tree instead due to an improper grip. If no physical weapon was being used against her, bad luck would take a different path; ankles would twist or shoelaces getting in the way for them to give their regards to the ground up close. Bones would break.

If she had to use a weapon, her first choice would be her whip. A whip completely made of magic, even though Sayge's whip isn't made out of physical materials, it looked, sounded, and hurt like one. The magic particles would slip from her whole hand, forming a handle for her to grip, and the rest of the energy descended from her fingers. The glowing and color of the whip changed depending on Sayge's mood and movement. The whiplash motion would make it glow brighter, and her anger makes it crack louder. She just liked the skin to tear.

Magic fighting magic was her favorite. There was something more natural for Sayge in fighting with powers coming from within than external weapons. Nonetheless, she had one of her daggers on her all the time. A misericord stiletto dagger would usually be the chosen one, a long and narrow dagger. She would use it to defend herself if needed, but Sayge was an impatient woman, so it was primary utilized to give the death stroke and finish the enemy's life sooner.  

She had no time to let them die slowly.

🪔 — Are there any traditions you want to start this year?

"Some have made a tradition to come and make wishes at my ponds for Yeon Nen, by throwing a coin and hoping for good fortune." She tried to hold back a laugh but failed midway. "Don't be confused. I see no fault in making a wish, neither giving away free coins. Once those touch my water to accompany my fish, they are mine." 

No longer trying to hide her amusement, she shrugged her shoulders, a hum escaping her red painted lips. "I might build a statue of myself behind the pond, for them to ask to the right deity for wealth." Her head tilted to the side, and her long black hair moved along with her. "Venerating me as a new tradition."
