Candy Land-- Candy Land
The woman standing in front of Wendy was far, far too skinny. Not just skinny, she was even lanky. She looked like a strong wind would do more than just steal the (admittedly awesome) hat she was wearing.
Wendy leaned to her left slightly to see around the girl, and took in the long line to the candy shop till they were waiting in. She didn’t often splurge on sweets, but it was lucky she decided to today. She could now see that the only thing the girl before her was buying was a little bag of jujubes, which she was holding to her (disproportionately) well-endowed chest.
“Is that all you’re getting?” Wendy asked before she could stop herself. The girl turned and looked at her, surprise evident, and Wendy went on, “I think you need a bit more than that to fill out.”
“Fill out?” the girl asked. “I’m perfectly fine with my weight, thanks.”
“Well, I’m not.” Wendy took the girl by the hand and steered her out of the line. “You are way too lanky.”
“Lanky?” she repeated. Wendy, at this point, was a bit taken aback at her own boldness, but the girl seemed to be amused more than anything else. She was smiling as Wendy dragged her towards the chocolate section.
Wendy and the girl, who at some point offhandedly introduced herself as Koala, loaded up their arms with both novel and traditional candies that Wendy, shocking herself, promised to buy for the other. She did grab one raspberry dark chocolate bar for herself, though.
“I think I’m going to need someone to help me eat all this,” Koala said, smiling at Wendy.
“Oh no,” Wendy interrupted. “You better eat all this. I don’t care if I have to come and monitor you. You have to fatten up a bit.”
“Monitor me?” Koala laughed. “I think I’d like that.”
