drawing dr alphys art in 2025 and encountering the recurring alphys haters again is making me think like... did y'all even read the true lab entries?? like you know the monsters that were sent for the experiment were dead right? they were literally waiting for them to turn to dust. And the experiment wasn't to revive them or prevent them from dying. it was to make their souls persist after their bodies dissolved like human souls do. that way they could collect monster souls and slowly build up to being able to break the barrier.

the monsters waking up and becoming amalgams was completely unintended and unexpected. i see a lot of people act like Alphys did some horrible experiment on like living people to turn them into horrible fused monstrosities and it's like No?????? Can you read???

I think if a studio exec says they want to force you to starve to death so you’ll be made to accept garbage wages, you should crush them in a hydraulic press incredibly slowly

Like the fact that rich people have gotten to the point where they think they can just be like “oh yeah I’m literally trying to kill you” without fear of repercussions is beyond infuriating. They need to know what it feels like to be beaten to death by hammers.

I appreciate that lots of games now have ditched body options being tied to gender but now we reaaally gotta move on from “slightly buff thin body” and “super skinny body” being the only available options.

every time i make art of Alphys i get several comments along the lines of "I always hated alphys but this art is okay i guess." and it's like COOL this art ISNT FOR YOU!!!!! Explode!!!!!

Alphys haters are the weakest people on the planet I swear to god. And they always feel the need to tell you that they hate her when they see your art. Like, I didn't ASK!

The fact that I see artists who consistently draw anthro characters (with furry design sensibilities) saying stuff like “oh but I’m not a FURRY I just draw anthros” is really annoying to me. Like you don’t gotta associate with the label or call yourself a furry but the like embarrassed “oooh I’m not one of THOSE guys” behavior is really childish. Like who cares if you’re a furry or not. You don’t have to keep doing the “I’m not a furry BUT-“ garbage. Free yourself from cringe. Draw animal people without having to give a disclaimer that you’re not “weird” every time.

Alphys haters so vitriolic it’s got people making burner accounts to be stupid at me about why they hate her lmfao. Sorry you can’t handle interesting and complex characters who try their best despite their flaws and mistakes. Why are you telling me you can’t engage with the media you consume beyond the base most surface level stuff. That’s none of my business. I didn’t make Undertale and you certainly don’t need my approval
