am i posting about a woman rn... guys wait.... this is just an experiment leave me alove....... my worldview is expanding.... shifting..... (i’m questioning). tw for afab body (gn reader), mean shinobu, orgasm denial
shinobu........... shinobu who.... eats you out so meanly... y’know like. she’s just barely giving kitten licks between your folds. just barely letting her tongue flit over your clit. grinning up at you when you start to protest, whining about her being a bully. and... what? a bully? her?!
she’ll coo all condescendingly and press a faux apology kiss to your inner thigh. awe, is she going too slow for you? do you need more? how rude of her. to deny you what you’re so clearly craving !!
so she dives in. eating like it’s her last time seeing you before being sent on a long mission. eating like it’s the first time she’s ever gotten a taste. eating like it’s her last day alive. she’s taking you apart until you’re nothing but a mewling mess. flattening her tongue against your clit before trailing down and thrusting the warm appendage inside of you. in and out, in and out, in and out, mapping out your walls.
shinobu’ll bring you right up to the cusp of release. gazing up at you like a stray cat does an unsuspecting mouse. because she’s memorized your body long, long ago— knows every little twitch of your thighs and exactly what they mean. so, she can tell when you’re just on the edge, just reaching your peak, her name just on the tip of your tongue, just to—
pull away. leaving you to whine in disappointment as your orgasn fizzles out into nothing but a dull ache, and she’s licking her lips innocently. oh, she’s so sorry, she didn’t mean it. she just had to catch a breath, is all. you understand right?
tw : giyuu's backstory is briefly mentioned. kyojuro's part involves anger and sadness. shinobu's part can be seen as slightly suggestive, but there's nothing explicit.
gn!reader. reader feels emotions just like everyone else, but they're just not too fond of displaying them.
hi ! so, uh, it's been a while. tbh, i completely forgot about tumblr. lots of things (not in a bad way, rest assured) are happening in my life rn, and i hadn't much time to spend time on tumblr. i won't promise you anything about me definitely coming back on tumblr, as i don't want to give you guys any hopes that'll eventually reveal themselves false, but i'll try.
my english has improved a bit, but i'm afraid it's still shitty, so i apologize if what i say isn't always coherent enough.
one last thing : i'll often mentions headcanons about when the both of you are going to bed to sleep together, but of course, these are when the characters in question aren't assigned on a mission.
Giyuu Tomioka
Giyuu himself doesn't like to publicly showcase his emotions, so you being inexpressive as well is kind of a gift for him. Don't make me say what I haven't, though ! He'd love you just as much if you were someone expressive by nature, but you being inexpressive suits him even better, because he knows you'll understand how he feels about this subject.
Both of you being a stoic couple doesn't prevent either of you to show your love for the other, though. You're just... not doing it outside closed doors. Hugs and kisses are at the rendezvous once both of you find yourselves in a quiet place where you know you won't be disturbed.
However, Giyuu isn't too fond of being overwhelmed of affection. Sure, he enjoys feeling the warmth of your body as you lay your head on his chest, his arms wrapped around your waist, and I'll tell you, he even enjoys being the one to lay on your chest. Hearing your heartbeat acknowledges him with the fact that you're still alive and not leaving anytime soon, so he won't be having a mental breakdown about losing one other person he cherishes. He loves the feeling of your hands grasping his, your fingers intertwined together as you enjoy the peacefulness and calmness of that loving moment... That said, I can't really imagine Giyuu being so touch deprived that he'd want affection all day long. He needs a bit of space sometime — not in a "Leave me alone" way, but in an introverted way, if that's the correct word —, and he knows you'll respect it as you're not one to make a scene about such things.
I can see Giyuu enjoying to read in your presence. He'd especially love it if both of you were lying on your double-sized bed, wrapped in each other's arms as he's holding a book for you both to read as you readjusted your position to make yourself more comfortable on his chest. That'd kind of be your dates, I guess ? I mean, Giyuu isn't someone to willingly go outside and take long walks at night.
You're the type of couple to either have deep, philosophical talks at night, rambling about your lives or something intriguing that happened during the day, or the type of couple to stay silent even when you're together, just silently enjoying the other one's presence and the amount of joy they're bringing to your life, no in-between.
If you're the second type of couple, however, that doesn't mean you'll never talk at all. If there happens to be a problem within your relationship, as mature adults, you'll talk through it and find solutions together. Neither of you will leave until you've both found a solution. Giyuu wouldn't mind doing compromises for your relationship to work better — he's not risking losing you just like he did with Sabito, Makomo and Tsutako — and so would you. Despite not showing him at all times, you love him with all your heart, and you know it's reciprocal.
Overall, you being stoic suits Giyuu just fine, and he loves it even better. He knows you won't question his lack of emotions on his face at any times, and that's probably what's keeping him in your relationship. Outside of his undying love for you, of course. He's undeniably the best one to go to if you want some calm and peacefulness.
Muichiro Tokito
Despite his age, Muichiro is a mature boy, and he knows better than to question whether your lack of expression is due to the fact that you're growing tired of him — which you clearly aren't, quite the opposite actually —, because he's in the same situation as you are. Just like everyone else, he's able to grow attached to someone, to cling onto them, just like he can feel joy, sadness, anger, etc.
He knows you're mainly showing your love physically, and privately, and he respects that. Not that he isn't too fond of PDA, but he doesn't crave it, and so do you. So, just like with Giyuu, you both keep your love within closed doors.
However, unlike Giyuu, Muichiro is much more clingy. Whenever he can, he'll go on and hold your hand, immediately intertwining his fingers with yours, he'll stand on his toes and kiss one of your cheeks, having the satisfaction of bringing a faint blush to the inexpressive being you are, he'll snuggle in your arms and rest his head on your chest, immediately closing his eyes to appreciate your warmth the best he can, he'll play with your hair after asking you if you were okay with it... You got it, he's quite the clingy boy.
Speaking of hair. If you have long hair, he'll gladly brush them and style them for you. Just know, he especially love braiding your hair, he thinks it looks good and cute on you. However, if you have short hair, he'll ask you to brush his instead. He's gifted with natural, long, beautiful hair and he knows it, and he wants to keep them maintained. As you do so, he'll probably sit on your lap, crossing his legs as he hums a melody, trying his best not to move too much so as not to complicate you the task at hand. When you're done, he'll reward you with a small kiss on the lips and a warm smile.
When it's time for you to go to bed, you already know he's clinging onto you as if it was the last thing he'll ever do. You're usually spooning. He doesn't mind being the big spoon, but he usually prefers being the little spoon. It just brings him a sense of comfort, he can't explain why exactly, but all he knows is that he loves it. He'll wrap his arms around your waist, snuggling his face in the crook of your neck to smell your scent. It relaxes him and helps him to go to sleep.
You're often training together. As a Hashira, he acknowledges his strength, and he'll go easy on you. The last thing he'd want to do is to hurt you. In that case, he'd act more as a teacher for you, helping you with moves you're struggling with. However, if you're strong enough to keep up with him — first of all, he'd be proud of having such a strong S/O, and that'll make him relax about knowing you can protect yourself — but ultimately, he won't hold back as much as he was planning to. He'll still do his best not to hurt you, but he'll be having fun training with you. It brings him a strange sense of pride and satisfaction knowing that he can freely showcase his strength while you're keeping up with him.
Overall, one of the best Hashiras to be inexpressive with. He's someone understanding, but that said, it doesn't mean he'd hold back at all. You're his and he's yours, so why restraining himself when it comes to showering you with affection ?
Kyojuro Rengoku
Well... He's the complete opposite of you. That man is full of energy and always seen with a smile on his face. He's loud and always up for a challenge, while you're... well... usually quiet and stoic. But, in his eyes, that's what makes your charm !
He's completely respectful of your boundaries. If you don't want to do something he wants to do, then be sure he won't do it. Despite how hard it would be for him to not do it, he's putting your health and well-being before his own needs. Don't want a hug ? That's fine, he can settle for your presence instead ? Don't want to go outside ? He's just as fine staying at home with you ! Don't want to cook ? Just rest in bed, he'll take care of everything !
You got it, he's very respectul of your boundaries and doesn't want to pressure you into anything that could make you uncomfortable. That's the last thing he'd want to do, to make you uncomfortable.
Whenever you need some calm, some relief or simply to talk, you can count on him ! The moment you appear to be sad or angry, he's already sitting next to you. He'll gently rest his hand on your shoulder, or your thigh if that's okay with you, and he'll ask you what's wrong, and if you want to talk about it. He'll wrap a warm arm around your neck, bringing you closer to him, and he'll run a hand through your hair, putting you at ease the best he can. He's someone quite skilled with his words, he'll always find the right words to comfort you, and he'll be careful with his choice of words. He doesn't want to accidently say something that'll make you feel worse than before.
When it's time to go to bed, he'll sneak in the blankets and wait for you to get ready as well. Just know, he's a man who usually sleeps without a top, his torso and strong, muscled, well traced arms displayed, for your eyes's pleasure. If you don't want to cuddle, be sure he'll at least kiss you on the lips. If you want to, however, he WILL cuddle. He's not missing the opportunity ! He likes to be the big spoon, it brings him a sense of protection knowing that you entrust him enough to let him carry you in his arms in such an intimate way. He isn't someone to fall asleep so quickly, so he'll admire the peaceful look on your face as you're deeply asleep, wandering how such a beauty could have fallen in love with him, someone who's so different from you.
When you both are going out, he's always having an arm wrapped around your waist. Not to display affection or to show to everyone that you're his, but to protect you. He knows you can protect yourself, but he's an overthinker, and wants to make sure you're always by his side. You never know what could happen, especially in public places, so he makes sure to at least have an arm wrapped around your waist.
Overall, Kyojuro is someone very understanding and respectful of your boundaries who'll make sure to protect you at all cases. He loves you very much and is always there for you. Probably the best one if you're feeling down, as he's the most skilled one with his words.
Shinobu Kocho
That woman is such a tease. If you agreed to be in a relationship with her, you also silently agreed to be made fun of at all times. Not in a mean way, of course, she just likes to tease like no one ever did.
You kind of remind her of Giyuu, that's probably one of the reason she's "bullying" you at least as much as she does to Giyuu, if not even more. With a playful smile on her face, she'll often do remarks about how you're not smiling enough, and how pretty you would look for her if you had a smile on your face. She's probably the one who leaves you all blushing and flustered the most out there, although you're usually not used to blush and be unsettled that much. You kind of hate her for that, but oh how you love it as well. Kind of like a love-hate relationship.
On a more serious tone, she's always reminding you that it's all for fun. She doesn't want you broken and saddened because of her playful personality. If it ever made you uncomfortable, she'd immediately notice it and stop her remarks. She'll feel remorseful, although not showing it. She doesn't want you to know that.
As the insect Hashira, she possesses lots of medical and pharmaceutical knowledge to make up for her lack of physical strenght — although that doesn't mean she's physically weak, she's actually pretty strong, her physical strenght is simply not enough to cut down a demon's neck —, she's the best one to go to whenever you feel sick. Whether you've returned of a mission and you're full or bruises and cuts, you're having a fever or a simple headache, she has all the best medicines already prepared for you. It won't take much before she finds the medicine she's searching for, and she'll immediately administer it on you. If your case is serious, she'll make sure you're lying on a bed and moving only for the necessary. And trust me when I say that if she has to tie you up on the bed for you to stop moving, she'll do it. She always has some... accessories ready for these cases.
As one of the doctor of the Demon Slayer Corps, she's often busy healing slayers and creating medicines. However, if you need to talk to her about something important, she'll make sure to talk to you while doing the task she's assigned. If she's healing a slayer, you both will talk standing up while she's doing her job. However, if she's producing some medicines, which often happens in her personal office, she'll grab a chair for you to sit. Whether the medicine needs constant attention or not, she'll prioritize you first and will be sure not to make you feel ignored. Although she may not always look at you in the eyes because of whatever she's doing, she's attentive and listening to you, and you know it.
Despite her petite figure, she's not one to underestimate. If, for some reasons, you decide to tease her back and acting bratty on her, may the Lord forgive you, because she won't be holding back. She'll remind you of your place and punish you suitably to how much of a brat you've been. She's not afraid to use radical solutions to get what she wants — as long as you've given your consent of course — and to prove to you that her height doesn't mean shit. It might be publicly, also reminding to everyone that she's not a woman to mess with, or it can be in a private setting, where you won't get disturbed. Rest assured, though, she won't hurt you... much.
Sadly, you're often sleeping alone. As I mentioned before, she's a doctor, and is often busy working on medicines or injured slayers. Even though she's sneaking into the bed at night and you both ultimately sleep together, you rarely fall asleep together. If that's hurting you at any point, she'll find a solution, whether it's to stop working for the night to sleep with you, or to bring you to her office, letting you sleep on her lap as she keeps working, she'll make sure to find a solution not to make you feel abandoned and neglected.
One thing she loves to do with you, even going as far as making it a daily thing, is having breakfast with you. Whether she has slept or not, she'll make sure to take ten to twenty minutes each morning to have breakfast with you. It is a must in your relationship, and you're happy with it, as she's probably the one out of the other Hashiras you'll see the less. She'll ask you if you've slept well, how was your night, etc. If you're not a morning person, she'll just restrain herself from talking that much, but she at least wants you to be there with her.
Overall, she's the best Hashira to go to if you feel sick. She's a busy woman but she makes sure to fulfill her duty of keep the relationship healthy and maintained as your girlfriend. She's not one to mess with, so as long as you respect her, you're fine. She's making sure you know she loves you very much and wants to keep you in her life for a long-term relationship, she doesn't like short relationships where y'all break up over a small argument, she's a mature woman who's talking through everything and makes sure to find a solution while doing her best at work.
Mitsuri Kanroji
Do I really need to specify she's the complete opposite of you ? Even worse than Kyojuro, she's a cheerful and happy being who always showcases her emotions. Rare are the moments where she isn't seen with a smile on her face. The difference between the both of you is so obvious that people can't help but ask how did you two ended up together.
Your lack of expression doesn't bother her in the slightest ; Trust me, she'll make up for the both of you, as the emotional person she is. She finds your lack of expression charming, cute and hot at once. She loves this side of you, seeing you so calm and unbothered makes her heart melt. All she wants to do is to pamper you and shower you in hugs and kisses. But if you aren't too fond of it, that's okay too ! She'll make up with other things she knows you tolerate, such as hand holding, words of affirmation or buying you gifts, often food.
Just like Shinobu, having breakfast with her is a must... except it's not only breakfast. In fact, she wants to spend the three dinners a day with you, she'll find herself all saddened and upset when she can't spend even one dinner with you. She wants to be by your side at all times, even though she knows it isn't always possible and is more of an utopic desire of hers.
She knows you're not talkative, and that's fine by her. Just like for your emotions, she'll make up for the both of you. She's the yapper to your listener. She'll often talk for hours and hours about her life, her day, about that one stray cat she crossed paths with on her way to a restaurant and how she couldn't resist the temptation to caress him, about that new, young and prodigious slayer called Tanjiro she sympathizes with, etc. Sometimes, she's afraid she's talking too much, but you assure her she's not, and in fact, you love listening to her.
Obanai was jealous of you at first, but eventually he realized you were treating Mitsuri well enough after lots of conversations with Mitsuri herself, so he kind of gave up on the idea of seducing Mitsuri and entrusted you with bringing her the joy she deserves to have. Be wary, however — if he hears ONE bad thing you did to Mitsuri, he'll knock your ass, going on and on about how she deserves to be treated like a princess and all. But Mitsuri often gets in his way, stopping him before he goes too far. Eventually, he stopped loving her, realizing you were the one who got her heart, and started acting just a little bit more friendly towards you.
When it's time to go to bed, she's often the one lying in the it first, tired of her day. Yup, whether she has done something or not, that's what makes it funny. When it's your turn to sneak under the blankets, she'll immediately snuggle to you, it goes from simply hugging you to spooning you — she doesn't mind being the little one or the big one, it's honestly up to you — to lying on top of you and resting her head in the crook of your neck. She'll whisper a weak "I love youuu" before quickly falling asleep. She's a quick sleeper, unlike her master Kyojuro, so you're often the one finding yourself admiring her angelic traits as she's peacefully sleeping next to/on top of you.
Overall, the sweetest Hashira to be in a relationship with. She's the one to go to if you need affection and for a sunshine to invade your life.
The night was quiet. Too quiet. As you walked through the halls of the Butterfly estate, the floors seemed to creak just a little too loud. You had just gone and picked up Shinobus sword from Kanao on the other side of the mansion. She had been cleaning it. Your steps are careful as you make your way back to yours and Shinobus shared room, clutching her sword to your chest tightly. the creaks didn’t seem to echo your steps, almost like they were haunting you. you turn your head back, double checking out of fear, and come face to face with a massive demon.
You fall backwards, frantically pointing Shinobus sword at the demon as you push yourself back. how did it get through all the wisteria trees around the mansion? it growls at you as you scream Shinobus name desperately, your voice cracking. she doesn’t come. you scream again, slashing at the demon haphazardly. in your haste, you hadn’t even unsheathed the blade. it grabs the sheath, yanking it towards itself. you hold on tightly, pulling back just the sword. you thrust forward with it, just like how you’ve seen Shinobu do a hundred thousand times before, and impale it in the chest with the tip.
but not before it impaled you right through your stomach. the floor thumps in rapid steps, the faint scent of wisteria flowing through the air. the demon squeals, stepping back and taking the sword clean from your hand. it dangled in the demons skin, hanging off it. you hear your name, your eyes fighting to look backwards through your blurring vision. ah, there she is. your Shinobu. you feel your body hit the floor, your name being the last thing you hear before your eyes close tight.

it feels GOOD to be back to my roots. i love Shinobu, my 4’11 queen. sorry not sorry for the angst on this one, i miss being mean to you guys <3. i kinda left it up to interpretation if the reader lives or dies. but just know, shinobus gonna try damn hard to save you.

"Choose between me and Tomioka-san. Let's put an end to this for good."
"I don't know why you need to rush Y/N."
"And I don't know why you need to act as if you're always the better person between us, Tomioka-san."
You never forgot the night of the fire.
In an instant, the fire engulfed your town, transforming every nook and cranny into a wall of smoke and heat. Desperate for air, you had clawed through the debris, screaming until your throat cracked. Then—through the mists—two people appeared.
Giyu Tomioka was the first to move, slicing down the advancing demons with a crisp and ruthless blade that flashed like water in moonlight. As he moved steadily in your direction, the fire appeared to curve about him. As the roof broke down, he simply gathered you in his arms without hesitation or faltering.
You recalled how his haori felt cool despite the flames, and scratchy with ash against your face. You had buried yourself in it, holding on to it with all your last might, as though letting go would be fatal. Silently, he held you close, his presence the only thing keeping you afloat in a world that was falling apart all around you.
Then Shinobu Kocho appeared. Even in the middle of pandemonium, her motions were elegant, and her blade hummed with venom. As Giyu dropped you onto safer ground, she squatted next to you, her lavender eyes serene in spite of the cries.
“You’re safe now,” she whispered, brushing soot from your cheek with a delicate hand. Her voice was steady, gentle in a way that made the tears spill out of you at last. “It’s all right to cry.”
Two saviors. Two lifelines. One shield, one light.
You vowed to become their tsuguko once your injuries healed. You would pay them both back.
However, life had its boundaries.
Although Shinobu's Insect Breathing was captivating, your body would not accept it no matter how hard you tried. You were not as quick or as precise as she was. You felt hollow and frustrated because you wanted to pay her back just as much as Giyu.
But Giyu's path—water breathing—came to you as readily as breathing. The actions in the first form were smooth and sure, like slipping into a stream that was already waiting for you. You rose swiftly in rank and received recognition for your commitment.
Nevertheless, your chest hurt every time you saw Shinobu grin at her tsuguko. You also desired that location. You wanted her to see you so she would understand how much she meant to you that evening. However, you were unable to. There was no place for you by her side.
Repaying the other saviour, whose haori you had held onto during the fire, was your only option.
And it seems that fate concurred. You were designated as Giyu's partner for your subsequent mission.
It was too quiet in the forest. Just the crunch of your feet and the slight swish of Giyu's haori in front of you—no birds, no breeze. With his blade by his side, he moved in his customary stillness, as though he were a part of the shadows.
You kept up, but your mind wandered.
Shinobu Kocho.
Her visage was on the periphery of your thoughts even now. That night, when you were broken and believed no one would come, she had comforted you. You had a fire that never went out because of her kindness. She had a tsuguko already, though. You weren't standing next to her. In training courts, she smiled at someone other than you.
It stung in ways you hated to admit.
“…You’re distracted.”
The quiet voice interrupted your daydream. When you noticed Giyu had stopped and was staring at you with his blue eyes, you blinked. Quiet, unreadable, yet keen enough to detect every mistake.
“I—sorry.” You straightened quickly, embarrassed. “I was just… thinking.”
“Don’t. Not here.” His reply was clipped, firm. “It’ll get you killed.”
Chastened, you lowered your stare, but something inside of you resisted. This was your opportunity. It was your moment to explain what that night had meant to him, or at least to him.
“…Do you really not remember?” you asked quietly.
He frowned. “What?”
“The fire. My town.” Your voice trembled despite yourself. “You carried me out. I… I was holding onto your haori the whole time. I thought if I let go, I’d die there.”
For a little while, his face remained unchanged. The same unreadable serenity. But then—a little crease appeared between his brows, and his gaze narrowed.
“I remember… a child,” he said slowly, as if testing the memory on his tongue. “Covered in soot. Wouldn’t let go.”
Your breath hitched. “That was me.”
His gaze lingered on you, longer this time. Not quite soft, but steadier—more focused.
“…I see.”
They were straightforward words. However, there was something about the way he uttered them that made your chest feel oddly comfortable, as though the burden of your vow had not been solely on you all this time.
The stench of rot lingered in the air before you even saw them.
“Demons,” you whispered.
Giyu’s hand shifted to his blade. “Two. One near. One watching.”
You hadn't even sensed the second. His perception left you in the rear even now.
With a screech, the first monster rushed forward. With your blade flashing in Water Breathing, Second Form: Water Wheel, you moved in an instant. Sparks flew as steel sliced through its arm, but the second attacked from the side too quickly for you to respond.
“Down.”
The word sounded like a command. You dropped, immediately putting your trust in him. Before the demon's blow could reach you, his sword cut through the air above you. Blood sprayed. He loomed behind you like an impregnable wall.
Your breath stuttered. “Thank you—”
“Focus.” He pressed forward without a glance, his blade carving with precise, unbroken rhythm. Like flowing water, steady and merciless.
You fell in next to him after forcing your stance back into shape. He struck purposefully, nearly leaving gaps for you to complete, as though he were silently saying, 'I know you can keep up.'
It was almost flawless for a second. Your current is flowing beside his.
But even as you moved, your mind betrayed you—pulling you back to the fire that had changed everything. You had been just a child, choking on smoke, legs too weak to carry you. In that blur of heat and screams, you had clung to the rough edge of a half-blue, half-green haori. Giyu’s haori. He had pulled you through the burning streets with an unwavering grip, a steady force against the chaos.
And then—Shinobu. She had crouched in front of you once you were safe, her soft voice cutting through your sobs. Don’t look at the flames. Breathe. You’ll live. Where Giyu’s silence had shielded you, Shinobu’s kindness had steadied you.
You had pledged to repay them both. But the truth was terrible. Regardless of how hard you tried, Insect Breathing refused you. Water was all you had. In the end, you could only follow the path that Giyu had cleared.
With a loud thud, the final demon fell, and the battlefield fell silent. You wiped blood from your cheek and panted softly.
Giyu, scarcely winded, put his blade back into its sheath. When he finally turned to face you, the little rustle of his haori shook the atmosphere.
“You kept your form,” he said simply.
And in that moment, you realised: Giyu had carried you out of the fire, and Shinobu had soothed the child you once were—but now, standing here, it was Giyu who remained, steady and unyielding, right at your side.
You were taken to a small inn in the neighbouring town by Giyu after the task. After exchanging a few coins and a short nod, he hardly talked to the innkeeper, and soon meals and futons were ready in a chamber lighted by lanterns.
Your body was heavy with fatigue as you slipped into the tatami. As silent as ever, Giyu sat across from you and pressed his sword against the wall. Warm steam rose from the rice and fish platter between you.
The thought came back to you as you took up your chopsticks: the flames. that evening. In the trees, you had finally told him about the memory. Even though he had merely stated, "I see," at the time, it had been ingrained in you for years. You couldn't simply leave it at that.
“You really don’t remember more?” you asked softly, eyes lowered to your bowl.
Giyu’s chopsticks paused, but he didn’t lift his gaze. “…It was a long time ago.”
“But it was the most important night of my life,” you pressed, your words sharper than intended. “I thought I was going to die. I was holding onto your haori so tightly—I thought if I let go, that would be it.”
There was silence for a moment, broken only by the sound of crickets outside. As if buying himself some extra time, Giyu carefully put down his chopsticks.
“I remember enough,” he said quietly. “A child, covered in soot. That’s all that matters.”
“That’s not all that matters.” The words slipped out before you could stop them. Your hands trembled slightly around the bowl. “It wasn’t just survival. You were… you were the reason I’m here at all. I can’t just act like it’s nothing.”
His eyes eventually locked with yours at that moment. Something flickered there, as brief as a ripple in calm water, yet it was blue—steady, unreadable.
“…You survived,” he repeated, firmer this time, as if closing the door on the subject.
Your chest tightened. He wasn’t dismissing you, not really—it was more like he couldn’t bear to stand in the memory with you. Still, the refusal stung.
You looked down, exhaling slowly. “…Then I’ll remember for both of us.”
That drew another silence, heavier than before. He didn’t argue. He only turned his gaze away, lifting his chopsticks again with that same restrained calm, as though the matter was settled.
But for you, it wasn’t. Not yet.
You didn't push him again, not with words, because his wall was too steady, too well-practiced, and you were too exhausted to bump into it. Instead, you finished your meal quietly, as the lantern in the room crackled softly, casting shadows across the paper walls.
You lay back on your futon, half-lidded, but sleep wouldn't come. The fire came back in pieces, with the stifling smoke, the heat, and the collapsing beams, as well as the rough feel of that half-blue, half-green haori beneath your fingers.
Giyu was still sitting up straight, back straight, and with his haori draped loosely around his shoulders. He hadn't even touched the futon that had been set up for him; he was just the same unwavering figure, as if he could sit there until morning.
“…You won’t rest?” you asked quietly.
“I’ll rest later.”
“You always say that.” Your lips tugged faintly, though the ache behind your ribs didn’t vanish. “Do you ever stop guarding people, Tomioka-san?”
His gaze stayed on the lantern light, but you saw the tension in his jaw. Then, in a low voice, he said, “You ask too much. I took you as my tsuguko because I saw potential. But that doesn’t mean you can pry into what doesn’t concern you.”
You blinked, startled by the sharpness of his words, but steadied yourself. “…Yes. I am your tsuguko,” you admitted softly. “That’s exactly why I worry about you. Because I care about you.”
He remained motionless for a moment. Then there was a slight movement in his shoulders, just enough to indicate that your comments had struck home.
“I wasn’t lying before,” you continued, your voice gentler now. “That night… if I hadn’t grabbed onto you, I think I would’ve let go of everything. You carried me out when I couldn’t even stand.”
His shoulders stiffened, his eyes flicking once toward you before darting away. “…Stop remembering it that way,” he muttered. “You walked out alive. That’s what matters.”
“Then why,” you asked carefully, “do you look like it still weighs on you?”
Beyond the shoji, silence descended, broken only by the chirp of crickets. Giyu finally moved and removed the haori off his shoulders. He threw it across the area between your futons without glancing at you. The fabric was rough against your arm as it settled over you, and there were subtle smells of burning and rain.
Your breath caught. “Tomioka-san…?”
“Sleep,” he said simply, lying down at last, his back turned.
Your fingertips dug into the fabric. Even if it's colder now, the same haori you held onto throughout the fire is still present. He hadn't forgotten, even though he might never say the words.
You finally allow yourself to fall asleep as that thought warms your chest.
Soft, golden morning light filtered through the paper screens. You woke up with the faint smoke from the battle last night and the smell of fresh tatami still lingering in your nostrils.
Giyu was already awake and seated close to the low table when you sat up. His sword was at his side, his haori folded neatly. Although he didn't immediately look at you, his calm, steady demeanour was somewhat reassuring.
“You should rest more,” he said, eyes still on the window.
“I’m fine,” you replied softly, rubbing your eyes. Then, with a faint smile, “You stayed awake?”
A small shrug. “Couldn’t sleep.”
For a while, silence sat between you—comfortable, not heavy. Then his gaze flicked toward you, quick but searching.
“…You were holding your chest in your sleep. Did you dream of it again?”
The fire. The memory still lived in your bones, raw and stubborn. You swallowed. “I… yes.” You lowered your eyes. “But I feel better now.”
A sound left him—not quite a sigh, not quite annoyance. Something in between. Then, in a voice quieter than the morning air, he said, “Last night… when you said you thought you’d die if you let go…”
Startled that he was the one to bring it back, your head snapped up. His eyes were steady, unreadable, and lingering rather than sharp.
“…I’m glad you didn’t.”
The words were simple. But the way he said them—flat yet deliberate, like a rare confession torn from him—made your chest tighten.
“Tomioka-san…” His name left your lips before you could stop it. You shifted closer across the tatami, hesitant but pulled by something you couldn’t silence. “Thank you. For remembering.”
Something softened in his features for the smallest instant. His mouth opened as if he wanted to say more, but he grabbed his haori instead. He didn't toss it from a distance this time. He gently settled it on your shoulders himself, leaning in a little.
The act made your breath catch, even though the cloth brush was light. His fingers lightly touched the curve of your arm as his hand hovered at your shoulder for a little longer than was required. Subtle but indisputable, the warmth of his touch seeped through the coarse linen.
“You’ll catch cold,” he murmured.
The haori smelt somewhat of steel and rain, and it was scratchy with old ash. The same haori that you held onto during the fire. Now, though, it felt warmer than anything else since his touch was so close.
“…You always do this,” you whispered, curling your fingers into the cloth.
His brow twitched faintly. “Do what?”
“Protect me. Even when you act like you don’t want to.” You tilted your head, eyes searching his. “You pretend you don’t care, Tomioka-san, but… you do.”
He remained motionless for a heart beat. Then, to your astonishment, his hand moved, lightly grazing your sleeve once more, as though to see if you would draw away. His fingers were a silent weight that remained still when you didn't. He looked down, the shadows softening around his eyes. He did not refute it.
Your heart was pounded. The stillness between you shifted; it was now delicate and fragile rather than aloof. It was unclear to you whether he had leaned in or you had. Under the table, your knees touched his, a brief contact from which neither of you pulled away.
The distance between you felt perilously close. He looked at your lips for a moment, then quickly looked away, as if he had caught himself. Nevertheless, his hand stayed put, firm, and would not move.
Then, when the silence became heavy with an unspoken—
A knock sounded at the door.
You both froze.
The paper slid open.
“…Kocho.” Giyu’s expression shrank like a blade returning to its sheath, and his voice abruptly flattened.
Shinobu entered with her typical serene grin. "Tomioka-san, good morning."
She glanced over at him and then at you. “And you, Y/N-chan.” Her lavender eyes glowed with concern as her smile softened. "Are you feeling okay?"
Between the soft glow of Shinobu's presence filling the room and the lingering warmth of Giyu's haori around your shoulders—his hand sliding back to his side—you froze.
The room's atmosphere immediately changed when Shinobu entered. Her soft speech filled the void that had before hung heavily between you and Giyu.
As she came closer, Shinobu replied, "I heard you were injured last night." Her steps were light. "Fighting in that state was reckless. Y/N-chan, how are you feeling?"
You lowered your head a little and adjusted the haori around your shoulders. "I'm all right. Only somewhat sore. I appreciate you checking up on me."
Her smile faded as real concern flickered in her eyes. Her hands rested softly on her knees as she knelt down to your level. "You need to get more sleep. Stubbornness by itself doesn't heal bodies."
Before you could respond, Giyu spoke from behind her. His tone was flat, almost clipped. “She’s fine. I was here.”
Shinobu looked over her shoulder, her grin unwavering, but her eyes hardened. “Yes, I can see that. Still, there are things even you can’t watch over perfectly, Tomioka-san. Don’t dismiss her condition so easily.”
The air between them felt strained, as if unseen threads were being pulled too tightly. You lowered your gaze, unsure whether to speak.
“…Kocho-san,” you said softly, hoping to ease it, “thank you, truly. But I feel better than I did last night. Tomioka-san… stayed with me.”
Shinobu's expression changed for a brief moment, either out of curiosity or something softer. Then she straightened, her smile spreading once more.
“That’s good to hear.” She clasped her hands lightly in front of her. “Then I’ll only scold you for making me worry.”
Giyu's eyes briefly, unreadable, shifted towards you behind her before averting them once more.
You were suddenly trapped between them, with her kindness gently pressing from the front, his quiet solid at your back, and the weight of his haori still around you.
The journey back to the Butterfly Mansion had been cautious and slow. Giyu's firm presence at your side kept you standing even if every step jostled the anguish in your body. Every time you faltered, his hand was there, firm and anchoring, and then he withdrew again without a word. His silence was as steady as the blade by his side.
The air itself appeared softer by the time you entered the mansion. Blood, dust, and the metallic tang of combat had characterised the brutal world beyond. Only the subtle rustle of paper doors, the aroma of herbs steeping in faraway rooms, and the occasional butterfly fluttering through the gardens could be heard here.
In one of the interior rooms, you were shown to a futon with recently laid bedding. Shinobu was already there, holding her medications in a graceful kneeling position. Giyu seemed out of place in these silent hallways as he hovered near the wall, his stance unwavering.
"Your pulse is steadier now," Shinobu remarked gently as her chilly fingers brushed on your wrist. "Y/N-chan, you still need days to rest. You can't just go back to missions tomorrow."
"I understand," you mumbled, but your gaze strayed towards Giyu. He hadn't moved since he stepped in—as silent and steady as a shadow.
Shinobu's gaze matched yours, her lips curling slightly. "Will you stay, Tomioka-san? At least till Y/N-chan heals."
His jaw stiffened, creating a delay before he spoke. "…It isn't necessary for me to—"
"It is," she said carelessly, her smile unwavering. "Besides, worrying about her mentor departing so soon would be bad for her recuperation, right?"
Your cheeks warmed slightly. "Kocho-san…"
Giyu's gaze briefly shifted to yours. Something flickered in his typical disdain before he breathed and dropped his gaze. "…I'll stay."
The words were brief and hesitant, yet they settled in your chest like a silent promise.
"Good," Shinobu replied, rising with the grace of a drifting petal. "I'll have Aoi bring you both tea." She paused for a while, her gaze piercing and penetrating, before closing the door behind her.
The silence that followed was broken only by the chirping of sparrows outside.
You drew the blanket closer to your shoulders, wrapping yourself in its warmth. "You don't have to sit here the entire time," you whispered quietly, breaking the silence. "I'll be fine."
His eyes switched to you, unreadable. "...And if I leave?"
The question lingered in your chest. You swallowed, catching his gaze. "Then… I'd miss you."
You wanted to slap yourself for saying that, but it's too late. You already blurted out your vulnerability to your master.
But on the other hand, something flickered on Giyu—subtle, almost invisible—but it softened the rigid line in his mouth. He turned away, but not before you noticed the crack in the walls that he always had.
"I told you," he whispered quietly, "I'll stay until you're well."
A tiny smile pulled at your lips as you tightened the blanket. "Then I will heal quickly. So you don't wear yourself out."
A wrinkle emerged in his brow, indicating unease. "...Don't rush. Just rest."
The silence that followed was no longer empty. It settled around you, smooth and steady, like butterfly wings moving across the garden.
You tilted your head slightly, studying him from his seat. "Tomioka-san, do you always stay this still? Even here?"
He blinked in surprise. "…Why?"
"Because..." you hesitated then said, “it makes me want to move closer. To see if you’d even notice.”
Something started to flicker in his eyes, making him seem vulnerable. Then he discreetly stepped away from the wall and perched on the edge of your futon. His presence filled the place, overwhelming in its silent intensity.
Your hand slid slightly, lying on the blanket next his. Not touching, but close enough that a single short move would bridge the gap.
He looked down at the distance between you, his breathing shallow. The silence extended, thick, but he did not move away.
"I notice," he murmured finally, his voice low and steady, as if the words cost him something.
Your heart sprang at the weight behind them.
You smiled softly, a warmth twisting in your chest. "Good."
There was no longer any emptiness in that silence, only a peaceful sweetness, fragile yet genuine.

The twigs snapped underneath your bare, bruised feet as you forced yourself to continue. The leaves trembled every time you passed through a bush, the birds chirping around you.
You were bleeding from your arm; where your mother had thrown a shattered piece of a vase at you. From your feet; from running without any shoes. From your knees; when you fell down the stairs while trying to get away from your fiance. You had a few cuts and holes in your clothes from the branches, and also a few bruises here and there.
You tried ignoring the pain and your sore, dry throat. Your lips were cracked and you couldn't go on. You've been running for too long, and back home, you didn't have time to drink water. It's been almost hours since you've drank anything, if you recall correctly.
Your head was spinning, chest heaving up and down. It hurt to breathe, and each step you took only fed into the agony. You felt the need to rip out a scream from the top of your lungs, feeling nauseous, your mind a blur.
Your eyelids drooped down, threatening to close completely. Your consciousness was slowly slipping away, feeling your eyes roll back as you made contact with the ground, the world blacking out.
...
...
Your eyelashes fluttered open, breathing heavily. Your whole body felt numb, unable to properly move. You tried to move around, but all you did was cause pain.
You looked around, observing your surroundings. It was a small room, and all it had was a bed, an oven, a small carpet and two shelves that went from empty bottles to filled ones, books and so many unidentifiable objects.
It was pretty dusty, but only in a few places. You noticed that it wasn't too messy, mostly organized and clean.
What you also noticed, was that your wounds were now bandaged, your clothes changed into a bright, simple and white dress. It didn't hurt so bad anymore, they were clean, properly washed and then left to heal properly. Another thing you realized, was that the smaller cuts and bruises were no where to be seen.
"You've awoken." You heard a soft voice, turning your head to the sound of it.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to harm you." The beautiful woman spoke again, a small smile on her face.
"Where am I? Who are you? What am I doing here? What happened?" You questioned, frantically looking around the small room as she let out a chuckle.
"One question at once, please." She leaned over to you, inches away from your face, wich caused you to blush.
"Where am I?" You asked, scanning her beautiful face.
"You're in my hut." She replied, her smile widening.
"Who are you...?" Your breath got heavier, chest heaving up and down.
"Ah, of course! I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Kochou Shinobu." She closed her eyes for a few seconds, before slowly opening them, now half lidded.
"What's with the... Weird hat? And all the bottles, and those... Things on the shelves?" You asked again, squinting your eyes at the unidentifiable objects that were sat on the shelves.
"Oh sweetheart, I'm a witch!" Shinobu giggled out, her small hand covering her lips.
Your eyes widened. You didn't believe her, she was for sure delusional. First, it was your fiance's father talking about some 'demons', and now witches? Those were children's stories, the ones where little kids would fear disobeying their parents, afraid a witch would steal them away.
"You're not." You disagreed, shaking your head.
"I'm not?" Shinobu let out a chuckle, a genuine smile stuck to her face. "Then how come I almost fully healed you? It's called magic, dear." She explained, your eyes darting to where your smaller injuries were fully healed.
"But this isn't true... It can't be true, witches don't exist..." You murmured, your head feeling empty, your mind long lost.
"Really? Well I suppose I'm not real, then." She shrugged, smile fading.
"You're not a bad witch, are you?" You asked, feeling like a toddler.
"I did help you, didn't I?"
"You did..." You nodded your head, all of the sudden blushing.
You tried sitting up, only to wince in pain and lay back down onto the hard mattress.
"What were you doing running through the woods like that? It's dangerous, filled with monsters."
You realized she was referring to those 'demons' or whatever they were. You fiddled with your thumbs, fidgeting with anything you could lay your hands on.
"Trying to escape my family. My fiance, and my whole life at once..." You muttered a response, glancing away as you felt your cheeks heat up.
"Mhm, I get it." She nodded, figuring out what caused you to run away.
She softly placed her hand on top of your forehead, checking your temperature and making sure you don't have a fever.
"Are you a doctor or something?" You asked, a smirk on your lips as she retracted her hand from your face.
"You could say that." Her hand was now tracing your chest, making circles all around. You felt your heart beat faster, your chest rising up and down heavily as your breath hitched.
"Don't be so scared now." She kept her smile, giving you a sly look, a pink tint covering her cheeks as well.
Her hand trailed down, way down, too close to where you weren't sure you wanted it to be. She then pushed her own hand off, turning around, her back facing you.
"Where- Where are you going?" You stuttered out a question, eyes widening.
"To fetch you some water." She replied, walking out of the hut. You turned your gaze away from the door, feeling your cheeks burn and your heart thump loudly in your chest.
Where you seriously falling in love with a witch?
You heard footsteps, thinking that she's coming back as she swiftly opened the door, walking up to you with water. She handed it to you as you drank it all, taking big sips.
You tried shuffling against the bed, wich wasn't too comfortable, but was definetly better than the floor.
"I wet a cloth and tapped your lips with it, they were dry and I figured you were thirsty, but you wouldn't wake up."
"Thank you, for everything... I mean- really! But uh, I have to go now." You spoke up, glancing away a few times.
Her lips formed a thin line, smile fading in an instant as she just stared at you. The cute look on her face immediately gone.
"Where are you going to go then?" She asked through her gritted teeth, wich slightly scared you.
"I wanted to go live with my-"
"You're not leaving."
Her words came out like venom, hissing them out. You tried to keep repeating in your head that she's not a bad witch, but it could have been a lie.
You felt vulnerable underneath her piercing gaze, scared to move or make a sound. Now that you took your time to look at her face, she seemed intimidating. Her soft features forming one of anger and something else you couldn't quite make out.
"You're staying with me, whether you like it or not." The corners of her lips tugged upwards, except this smile wasn't cute anymore, but instead creepily disturbing.
Your brows furrowed together, feeling panic race through your veins, your breathing growing heavier.
Could u write a jealous Shinobu x F reader? She’s jealous that reader is always hanging out with Giyuu. She thought reader always had a crush on her because of how reader acts infront of her (all shy and serious. Always trying not to embarrass herself infront of Shinobu). But seeing how talkative and friendly reader is with Giyuu, she starts overthinking and getting jealous of Giyuu. So she joins the duo and keeps on trying to get reader’s attention and throwing quick insults at Giyuu to try and make him not seem ‘cool’. Love the way u write!
tysm for the req! it's such a cute idea

shinobu kocho x f! reader
cw: jealousy, a little angst
shinobu kocho was agitated. mindlessly pacing around the egawa of her butterfly estate, repeating the images - the burning images in her head. you, touching tomioka's hand to get his attention; you, tipping your head back in a heartfelt laugh at something he said. it made her gag. it made her hot with an odd, seething anger. an oily feeling in her stomach, sticking everywhere on her insides.
of course, she knew that expectation - hope - was something she had no right to have. in this line of work, it was a liability, a stupid distraction from what was about to come. though, she never shyed away from teasing you or from uttering sweet nothings to you. it was natural, a reflex, one might say, for you were so captivating. a beautiful blossom's nectar to a butterfly.
it was somewhere along the way you pursed your lips, in the way you adjusted your uniform, or the way hummed a tune, that she became entangled. it made the vein on her forehead pop in frustration. she shifted her knees slowly, noticing the soft sound of footsteps coming closer. with a low blow of air, she put out the flame of the senko, watching the cursive lines of smoke as the room filled with the smell of fennel.
"kocho!", there was a sweet voice and a knock at her door. carefully, as to not crumble her haori, she stood up to slide it open and walk out.
"well, hello, y/n." she smiled, observing the way you fiddled with your clothes, how you guided your eyes away from her gaze. it made her brows furrow. the insect hashira looked at her co-worker next to you, the ever so stoic giyuu tomioka. she almost sneered at him, failing to hide the twitch in her upper lip. truthfully, kocho harbored no ill feelings towards this man. it could almost be said that they're friends, though she was all too familiar with the feeling crawling up on her, anger, distaste, a hint of annoyance. a cocktail of emotions she sipped on every day.
"i wanted to ask if ... you were free this evening." you said quietly, and if tomioka had not been there, kocho knew it'd made a part of her facade crack. "why are you being so strangely introverted?" he asked, almost deadpanning. she watched as you nudged his side, with a hushed "hey!", almost scolding him. it made her want to tear his face off. "what's the occasion?" something in the way your eyes shot to her, and your cheeks reddened, made her mood lighter. "a new koi pond opened," you started, "we should toss some coins for luck."
shinobu didn't reply at first, pressing her lips into a thin line. "are you joining us, tomioka?" she asked - as always, her voice should've sounded nice, sickly sweet, almost, but it came out forced, sharp. the water hashira looked confused, almost put on the spot - as he'd expected to come along anyway. nevertheless, she knew how to play these games. using simple mind tricks to make someone uncomfortable and embarrassed, and they do what you want. right now, shinobu wanted him to leave. it was a difficult task to do without revealing her intentions and jealousy.
kocho shinobu is a planner, a schedule slave, each of her moves, and each of her words carefully picked. so, as the three of you reached the pond, she felt some sort of disappointment. it was as though something didn't work out, a step failed, the goal now seemingly out of reach - but when she looked at you, it was hard for her to rationalize her anger. if you did harbor feelings for tomioka, she deemed it was going well. you laughed at his dry jokes, the one she could barely even listen to, and he smiled, more often than she'd ever seen. it was unfair of her, knowing that even if she won you over, it would be ... fleeting. another plan cutting roughly through the one labeled love. her mind was so preoccupied with revenge and hate that it would be a shame to let you in, to taint you.
"kocho?" she blinked as her name rang in her ears, looking at you. "would you like to pet them as well?"
you both sat down at the rim of the pond, the stone warm from sunshine. she watched as you ran your fingers along the spine of a rather big koi, white and red in color. for a while, only the occasional splash could be heard. "are you okay, kocho?" said girl retracted her fingers from the pond, wiping it on her haori. "why do you ask?" she heard you hum in thought, poking another koi, a thinner one - orange. "you looked so irritated today, I wondered if it was because of something I did."
shinobu halted her movements, looking into the distance. a sort of melancholic look on her face. after a while, she lifted the corners of her lips into a little smile. "i'm...jealous of tomioka, it seems." she confessed, her tone indicating that she felt a mixture of embarrassment and amusement. "jealous?" you asked, furrowing your eyebrows in confusion. "whyever would you be?". kocho lifted her hand, hiding her lips behind it - a little chuckle escaping her, almost as if she found it ridiculous herself. "you talk and smile with him so openly..." she starts, "i want to be the one receiving your attention."
a blush rose in your cheeks, and she felt happy seeing the pink in your face. "oh, but kocho, my heart always beats too fast around you. i am almost unable to form a sentence." kocho tilted her head, her smile spreading even further. she could feel the fat of her cheeks bundle.
ᴀᴜᴛᴏʀs ɴᴏᴛᴇ : This was just to refresh my writing skills , I don't expect this to be good but oh well!! I also may or may have not made this to cope with Shinobus death.. This might not be close to canon cause I haven't read the manga in a while, so my apologies for that in advance! Reader is written with fem in mind but it's ultimately gender neutral!!
ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢs : mention and description of blood, strays from canon(?) , obviously, manga spoilers, mention of reader wanting to kill douma, douma is a warning himself, cursing, if I missed anything then please say!
No. You couldn't allow this. You wouldn't allow the only person you truly love to die - You wouldn't allow her to die by HIS hands. . .
Your breathe was heavy , gasping for air to be let into your dry lungs as you stared at the scene in front of you, upper two, holding onto Shinobu by her waist as blood leaked out of her abdomen.
"oh? One of your friends came for you, fortunately, they won't take you!" Upper two spoke, letting out a 'hm' as he noticed you. His mixed eyes boring into yours, a teethy grin appearing on his face.
Your hands gripped the handle of your sword once you heard his voice, even just the sound of it irritating you. Gritting your teeth, you focused on trying to steady your breathing.
You have to focus, Y/n. don't let another person you love die.
That was the only thought that ran through your head, you weren't gonna lose another loved one.
Shinobus plan be damned, you didnt care anymore. She can be mad at you until the end of time, she can ignore you, despise you, anything. as long as she doesn't die, nothing matters at this point in time, as long as she lives, it will be okay.
Everything felt like it was in slow motion. You let in a deep breath, closing your eyes as doumas hand reached for shinobus neck.
'Thunder breathing : fourth form."
You thought in your mind, gripping the handle of your sword as hard as you could, your knuckles turning white. You got into position and flashed up to upper two and shinobu, holding your sword above your head - as upper two's hand was just about to reach Shinobus neck, you slashed his arms off, blood splattering onto your already blood-stained haori.
You quickly caught and took Shinobu, carrying her bridal-style . Watching from the corner of your eye , seeing Shinobus eyes widened once she realized what you had done.
You landed quite a bit away, panting for air, one of your hands gripping on Shinobus arm and the other on her torso. Your eyes were full of pure hatred and rage, all directed to upper two. You would kill this emotionless bastard, even if it was the last thing you do.
Your eyes then traveled down to Shinobus torso, tearing off a piece of your haori and quickly wrapping it around Shinobus upper wound, hoping to stop the bleeding, even if It would just a little bit.
"Hey! That was my food there, you can't just go around stealing peopls food, it's not nice!" Upper two whined, his lips forming into a pout - one that made you want to gag and throw up I'll of your guts.
"Shinobu-chan will never be food, especially not for YOU. you disgusting piece creation, you've clearly never felt any emotion whatsoever! " you spoke up, your face turning into a snarl.
" In fact , why were you even born? You serve no purpose whatsoever other than to make lives miserable. You foul, vile, evil little demon!" You finished, your voice filled with pure venom and hatred, hands shaking from rage.
Upper two's expression turned unreadable, then into one of 'shock'. Though, you knew it was just pretend.
"Wow, I've never met a bully like you. You're so mean, y/g." Upper two replied, his eyebrows furrowing slightly, along with his lips turning into a frown.
Just as you were about to open your mouth to reply, someone suddenly burst through the door.
"MWEHUEHAHAHAHA! MAKE WAY FOR THE KING OF MOUNTAINS, INOSUKE!" Inosuke practically screeched, laughing almost maniacally as he burst through the door , with kanao following behind him.
Your expression almost light up when you realized they came, knowing that you won't be alone here with shinobu and that thing. No matter how hard you tried, you couldn't help but let your lips turn upwards.
You sighed, steadying your breathing - getting up and positioning yourself to fight. You knew it would be harder, but you will win , no matter what. You will defeat upper moon two.

Muzan is dead.
The demon slayer corps is no more, you're at peace now - with Shinobu. Everything was alright now, demons were no more - this is what life should have always been.
You watched as the butterflies in yours and Shinobus garden flutter around, flying around some of the many flowers that you both have planted.
"Dear! Can you come inside and help me with dinner?" You heard Shinobu say from inside your shared home, you smiled softly once you heard her voice, you would probably never get tired of listening to it.
"Coming!!"
You spoke as you walked into your home, walking into the kitchen and seeing Shinobu turn to you with a soft smile - motioning with your hand to come closer.
She leaned up and kissed your cheek, her arm wrapping around your waist lovingly, making the smile on your face widen.
Wrapping your arms around her as well , whilst you though deeply ;
'Im happy to live like this.'
Alrighty!!! So I apologize if it's bad but this was just to refresh my writing skills as I mentioned <3. Like I mentioned , this may be not close to canon or ooc but I still wanted to write something like as I am still not quite over her death!!
