Faye had been pretty devastated the last few weeks after learning that the Accetta’s left town without her- or even letting her know and saying goodbye. They left her completely on her own after she had spent a couple of months finally living with them again. She thought things were going well and that they’d be different this time around. Yet one day she came home from a walk and the whole house was empty. Faye waited there every night in hopes they’d come back but they still hadn’t. She wasn’t sure if she was more angry at the fact that they left her or the fact that she was this hurt about it. All she knew for sure was that she wasn’t too interested in talking to anyone anymore. Faye had smashed her cell phone that Talia bought her in a fit of rage when she first found the house empty, so it was hard contacting her friends to begin with. The only person Faye had really seen since then was her brother when she would visit him at his apartment, but she declined to mention what had happened or why she’d been in a bad mood. Even if she was pissed off though, Faye wouldn’t skip a scheduled hangout with her brother. Which is why she was sitting on a park bench at the time they had agreed to meet.

Now that Jake was home and living with his sister he knew he needed to get a job. Jake had applied to a few mental health facilities in neighboring towns in hopes of getting a job with his psychology degree. He couldn’t exactly wait for one of them to call back, though. Jake knew he needed a place to work in the meantime and he figured Macy’s would probably rehire him temporarily. It was the first place he thought to check as he made his way to the mall, going the familiar route up the escalator and into the department store. Thankfully, Jake was greeted with a familiar face. “Kole!” Jake said excitedly, his grin spreading wide. He had been meaning to talk with Kole after Talia filled him in on all the drama with those hunters and Kole’s twin sister. That must’ve been a lot to deal with and Jake was definitely concerned. He really did like Kole, even though they didn’t work together too often before Jake went back to school. He hoped maybe they could become friends now. Jake was optimistic this time around about making more friends than he originally did. “How’s it going, man? You a manager here yet?” Jake joked lightly.

Lydia was finally recovered enough to leave her apartment a few days after everything had gone down. Her first stop was going to check up on Kole. She drove over to his apartment and then knocked on the door lightly. When the front door opened Lydia let out a sigh of relief. “Hey.” She said softly, a small smile on her face. “I was just coming to see if you were okay. I’m sorry that I couldn’t drop by sooner.” Lydia definitely felt bad because that night was rough on all of them and she really wanted to make sure Kole was alright. It was his first time going through something like that with the wolfsbane- at least that’s what Lydia assumed from his reaction that night. Not to mention he had to face the people who killed his parents and kidnapped his sister. She was sure that could be pretty traumatic. “How are you holding up?”

If he wanted to find suitable people to ‘enhance’ his power, Glaw couldn’t sit in his shop all day. The book he’d found so long ago had detailed the specifics of the people he should look for and so he was out people watching, hoping he may, with a little luck, find a suitable candidate. He held a book between his hands though he’d was playing at reading it in favour of looking up between turning the pages at the people about, parents playing with children, guardians teenage boys practicing throwing a football, warriors and others sat reading and making notes, oblivious to the world around them, philosophers.

Dragged from his observations, Glaw looked down and saw a scattering of fine stones by his feet... they could be embedding very nicely into a few small ornaments. He close the book and bent forward to pick up a handful only to nearly grab the leg of a passing stranger in the process. Straightening up, he smiled at the man who looked to be about his age. “Sorry about that, I promise I was aiming to pick up the stones and not your leg.” he teased softly.

Faye had been wanting to see her brother for awhile. Having no phone made getting in contact with him a bit difficult but they were making it work. She tried to meet with him at the same time on the same days so they didn’t need to be in contact beforehand. Now that Faye was staying with the Accetta’s again- and Kole didn’t know- it was even trickier to meet. But Faye really hoped he’d show at their meeting spot in the woods because she had a lot she wanted to talk to him about. Faye leaned up against a tree, getting lost in her thoughts when she heard a sound. She sighed with relief when she saw Kole arriving. “Thank God.” Faye breathed out, hopping up quickly to meet him. “I’m kind of pissed at you because I know about your little plan.” She rolled her eyes. It was impossible to stay angry at him for that long, especially when she really needed his advice. “But I’m glad you’re okay and I’m willing to ignore that for the time being because I have an important question.” Faye crossed her arms over her chest and looked around. “Do you think Talia is obsessed with me? I mean, you guys are friends aren’t you? I.. heard from someone that she is. Which really creeped me out and I’ve been avoiding her ever since and I just have no idea what to do.” Faye was not much of a talker, she only ever rambled when she was really overwhelmed- which she was in that moment. Faye did not understand the difference between having a crush, or obsession, or pretty much anything else about having feelings for someone.

Faye was happy to spend some time hanging out with her brother. She loved spending time with him doing anything but going shopping just seemed to excite her more. Not that Faye was particularly interested in shopping. It was honestly just the thought of doing something totally normal with Kole that made her happy. Faye never really thought she’d get the opportunity for that, so she really did cherish any moment she could with Kole. And now that Talia got her a phone it was easier for her to keep in contact too. “Hey.” Faye said with a smile as she approached him, arriving at the mall just at the time his shift was ending. “Are you ready to drop and shop?” Faye asked but then shook her head when she realized that wasn’t right. “No.. is it shop, drop, and roll? That seems weird too.” She furrowed her eyebrows together in concentration and then clapped when she got it, almost like a lightbulb went off in her head. “Shop until you drop! That’s the one.” She was pretty proud of herself for remembering. “I heard some girl say that to another one on my way up here. Still doesn’t make much sense to me but they seemed excited, so.” Faye shrugged.

Faye had avoided seeing her brother for about two weeks. She avoided nearly everyone, but of course her brother was really the only one she cared about. It wasn’t important that she was most likely fired from her job. Faye knew she’d get another eventually. She really just missed Kole, but ultimately knew it was best if she stayed away from him. Whenever they were scheduled to meet Faye just didn’t show up and it broke her heart inside but with the Accetta’s watching her there was no way she would risk leading them to Kole. Plus, Faye was going through a lot after her encounter with them. She had literally almost killed Talia and allowed them to get into her head again. So easily. For so long Faye thought that she had this under control but it was clear after that meeting that she really didn't. Avoiding the Accetta’s made it a lot easier for Faye pretend like she wasn’t with them anymore but when she saw them face to face it was like Faye was still under their spell. And perhaps she really was, which was what scared her the most. Faye felt like she had no identity at all and she could be a danger to people around her. The entire two weeks she was in hiding she kept considering going back to the Accetta’s and just begging them to leave town if she stayed with them. That’s where Faye was headed one night when she started running, but her feet took her somewhere else. She ended up at Kole’s door; address given to her by Lydia. For awhile Faye didn’t want to know the address because she feared she might run to him and put him in danger. Which was exactly what she was doing now.

The young werewolf stood in front of his door for what felt like hours, tears in her eyes as her heart was literally broken. She knew she couldn’t talk to him even though she really wanted and needed to. It was too dangerous. Faye swallowed the lump in her throat and turned on her heels to walk away before she heard the door open and saw her brother there. “Uh.. hi.” Faye mumbled, trying to wipe her tears away quickly. “I should leave.” Faye was a disaster which was something she did not want her younger brother to see. She was supposed to be strong for him.

The only thing that had gotten Faye through the week was that she would be able to see her brother at the end of it. Faye was struggling with being on her own and resisting the urges that she’d been trained to act on. So many times Faye wanted to just start attacking a supernatural that passed her on the street, or go crawling back to the Accetta’s and beg them to let her in their home again. They had been family for so long and despite what they’d done to Faye, it was incredibly difficult for her to break from the years of manipulation they’d put into her brain. But Kole was enough to keep her going, and she practically sprinted to their meeting spot when the time came. Faye sat impatiently on a giant rock at the edge of the preserve, looking out at the water. The town had moments where it was really quiet beautiful. She heard footsteps and turned around, a smile on her face as she saw her brother. “Did you know you need ID to get a job? Is that not the dumbest thing you've ever heard?” She asked as he approached her.
