August was under the influence, he’d lost track of Gabe at some point and decided to post-up at the Card-Making event until his date reappeared. Eyes big as saucers, August hummed lightly to himself and paid absolutely no attention to whatever demonstration was being given for what they should do or shouldn’t do or what lettering was best and blah blah blah. He was quite content doing whatever his nimble, creative hands, decided to do, and in this moment the witch had fixated upon making Valentine’s Day Cards for his friends. The witch had been raised drawing and sketching elaborate circles and runes, he had a very fine attention to detail and an affinity for calligraphy as a result of his upbringing.
The witch had spent the better part of the last hour making cards, now he was working on the last one and it was by far the most elaborate of the bunch. He’d saved the best materials and stolen a fair bit from some other participants in order to make it stand out. The gold foil paper was paired with a design of iridescent shell-shavings that sculpted the typical ‘valentine’s day heart,’ August was in the middle of writing the personal message, his penmanship was perfect but he needed to hold a steady hand otherwise he’d ruin it and waste all the hard work he’d put into it so far.
Ironically, Kolya seemed to appear. “Kolya?” August questioned, at least he wasn’t as high as the last time he saw the cupiditas vampire. “Where’s your date?”
