What made you ship it?  ch. 3  and elvis not sweating the small stuff.

What are your favorite things about the ship?  it’s in the companionship.  also adelle making sure elvis doesn’t set random things on fire including himself

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?  I know this isn’t exactly unpopular but it is salty so close enough: WHY IS NEARLY ALL THE CHARACTER STUFF IN REQUESTS AND OPTIONAL BITS.  I like the pairing but like because everything is optional the characters don’t really seem to change all that much so then you get that exchange in the one scene that’s like “You’ve really changed, Elvis.” “What?  No I haven’t” “Yes you have” and I’m like “THE MAN’S RIGHT ADELLE, HE HASN’T”

where in texas are you driving to? because as someone who has driven back and forth from texas to other states, it is a Journey.

To Austin, but I have to go through College Station first for paperwork reasons. Which adds at least an hour to my drive.

The person who I’ve been in contact with for paperwork just replied to my email (because I realized that I didn’t have an address for the office) and said that if I don’t make it in time, that I can just stay at his family’s house overnight and deal with the paperwork in the morning and then complete my drive to Austin then, and I legit just started sobbing in relief because I really do not think that I could handle another day of driving like today and I’d have to drive pretty much without stopping to make it before the office closes.And considering the extent that my leg cramped up today even with stops in the first half of the my drive, and the fact that I’ll need to stop and get lunch somewhere, and the whole ‘even if my car’s a Prius it does need gas every once in a while’ thing- yeah, making all of the stops take less than an hour would have been all but impossible.

lol especially given her age and the fact that it's her BIRTHDAY. Marinette was unpopular before this school year. It was probably her first birthday party she'd ever had.

I know??? People tend to always gloss over that fact about Marinette in general because they don’t seem to care about her enough to actually pay attention to her character, but for all we know, this is Marinette’s first big birthday with a lot of friends, friends who she likely wasn’t nearly as close with before because of how shy and insecure she was pre origins.

But even if this wasn’t her first big birthday, it’s still her birthday. First birthday with Alya, that’s for sure, so like excuse her for wanting to go and hang out and be treated to her special day. And what people seem to be missing is that this episode highlighted the generational gap between her and her Grandmom more than criticizing Marinette for ditching her. Her Mami was just extremely surprised and very sad that her grandbaby grew up and grew away from all the things they used to do with Marinette was a CHILD. THAT was the main issue in this story. 

But even if people want to fully blame Marinette here for being rude to her Grandmom, she handled it afterwards so beautifully. That bag she made out of the shirt was gorgeous, and their talk at the end with how Marinette explained that any time she could spend with her was precious, while her Grandmom conceded that she was treating her like a child and wanted to do more grown up things with her, was such a nice way to end it! And TIKKI’S present. Like. Urgh. Sorry. Ranted.

What about Percival? Instead of Turniphead?

In the book version Turnip didn’t have a curse, but was magicked by Suleman before his head and body were parted. So Percival is the one that’s actual under a curse and it’s more like he’s just made up of spare bodyparts and is all confused. Since Howl came from another world to begin with, maybe Howl is “Ringabel” and this world’s Alternis is Prince Justin while Tiz is Suleiman.

And this is exactly why I mentioned I hadn’t read the book in some time, since I knew I would mix some details up between it and the movie orz

I’ll definitely be editing Tiz to be Percival instead! I just need to actually read up on the details again so I can change things to be accurate to the book and still work with what I have!

I might consider making Alternis Prince Justin since I currently don’t have somebody to fill that role, but I’m not certain since I do have some stuff planned out for how Alternis became “Ringabel”. I’ll make final decisions when I have time to re-read the book though!

As Misedejem said, you’ve missed a vital step. Think about the name of the game and what possible actions you can retake at that first battle, just as you’ve said. Talk to the Adventurer, and when you start NG+ again, take your action. Something IS different - the point is to take that action and jump out of the loop.

As I just mentioned, I specifically avoided doing that, because I thought I’d jump right to the place the previous game progress had been and thus would lose out on those jobs. Since one of the jobs I don’t yet have is Black Knight, which was key to my strategy in Default, I’d like to get to that if possible. Is it worth it to just run through the game to the point I get that job without triggering the title skill, since I’m already in the “best grinding spot in the game” berserk springs, and can probably just breeze through the quests at this point. Also, I find grinding to be a soothing process,  which is why I’m at 99 and many jobs are at 10. I’d rather not lose the jobs I’ve already earned in this run through and have to do it all again, is all.

VAGUE BRAVELY DEFAULT II SPOILERS AHEAD will also tag but like for the one mutual I know is not far enough into the game, don’t read into this lol

Usually the flowers were gone by the next time he visited--blown away by the wind or picked apart by the wee beasties of the forest, no doubt.  They would have been dried out and brittle anyway; Wiswald was close enough to keep visits regular, but not too regular.

But one time he came back and happened to find the flowers still intact, and even looking near fresh-picked, their petals laden by glittering fairy dust; he picked these back up, and told Adelle he must be allergic to the stuff to excuse the stinging in his eyes if she happened to see.

Tiznessss

How can I do brutally honest when I love this pairing so much lol

Uhhh the issues I do have with the writing pretty much boil down to:

1) the complaint people usually cite with Tiz in general is that he’s “bland” and that’s because the writing gives him issues and then refuses to explore them.  This is more a character-oriented complaint but like letting Tiz’s survivor guilt and emotional issues actually cause problems in the group from time to time would have added more wrinkles to Tiznes.

2) Agnès being ready to just step down as Pope to marry Tiz at the end of b2nd is way too abrupt and combined with how Yewnolia resolves just kind of feels like “of course the girls give up what they’re doing to be with the guy”.  In Agnès’ case I actually think she WOULD love living in the rebuilt Norende, because it was already a well-established character trait in bd that she was used to and preferred a quiet life, I just feel like they could have both hinted she was leaning that way more throughout b2nd and also have her mention taking steps to make sure other vestals are established and safe (after she got KIDNAPPED) before she stepped down.
