Here’s is a quick photo essay of Liz at her best. These are 5 photos I shot while were we on the big island and Maui. When I originally conceived of tropical island travel it was inspired by some great rage to Figi. It was early January and omicron was surging. I knew they’d be no work for a while. I asked Liz if she was game. She said yes. Time passed and another thing fell through for Liz and we decided to head out for island fun. Liz mentioned rates to Hawaii were cheap. Cheap isn’t one of my core values but adventure is and this seemed like a great opportunity. I did the math and then book air travel, hotels and a couple island adventures. I’m rarely satisfied with average and I had to find a way to kick this trip up a notch. So I booked a day in Maui so we could get 2 islands of the Hawaiin archipelago. My friend Dawn Laureen raves about Maui all the time and I couldn’t resist. My first and last shots are of Liz sunbathing on Paukikalo Beach just north of our digs at the Maui Beach Hotel. The idea behind this shot is to vibe off of Betty Page with some vintage mid-century sexiness. The center 3 are of our trek south on our Wasabi Volcano Tour. The 2nd is at Punalu'u Black beach. The 3rd and 4th are at Kona Coffee Farm where Liz is in relaxed travel mode. Liz lives mangos and I think that shot of her under the mango tree is just the cutest. Maui was beautiful and mysterious while the big island had history and amazing unique topography. It was 6 days we enjoyed and 6 days of amazing fun! @bovver_bird_ @wasabitourshawaii @mauibeachhotel @mauivisit #konacoffeefarm #paukikalo #punaluubeach (at Kona Hawaii) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cbbvgtkuwql/?utm_medium=tumblr
