It's been roughly 10 years since I was first introduced to this timeless classic and the colourful characters of Blue Island - Min Giseo, Lee Youngshin, Mr Lee ("Pee, hyung!"), Bom. I've watched many other dramas since then but Thank You remains my favourite drama of Jang Hyuk and Kong Hyojin - moving, emotionally resonant, unforgettable. This scene, while understated, remains one of my best loved scenes of theirs... a small, but definitive step forward - for him but even more so for her - allowing herself to believe herself worthy of being loved, daring to let him take her hand. And I will never not melt at the way he looks at her hand in his like it is the most precious thing in the world, holding on to it like he cannot bear to let go.
