It's been a while, so can I just take this moment to say how much I love the yoga community? My practice has been pretty independent for a while, especially after my knee injury so tonight was the first in a long time that I came together with my Yoga Family! And it was awesome! • From the minute I arrived in the vicinity of @kingofpops #kopyoga, I was surrounded by the amazing ENERGY of my fellow Yogis. The greetings, the hugs, the collective breaths and movements of this community was EXACTLY what I needed! (Thank you @2jaecee☺️). • And tonight's awesome instructor closed with [paraphased] "...with everything that is going on... I commend you all for making the time to get on your mat..." • It's so true... Getting on my mat is so much more that the physical work. I find peace here. I find time to release what isn't serving me. I find time to talk (and #realtalk, sometimes VENT...) to God. I find time to listen for God. I find presence, guidance, grace, sometimes frustrations, realizations, victories, defeats and much much more). Absolutely incredible. • I didn't have time to adjust the angle, so you can only really see my little with minor glimpses of me, but duuuude! THE SKY! Tonight's beautiful sunset brought this practice full circle for me. • It was a reminder to release my expectations of what #InspireProject2017 is in my mind; to simply find gratitude in the joy, excitement and support of so many amazing people that have embraced and uplifted myself and this project; and permission to Let Go of what I cannot control and Let God take the wheel. ✨🙏🏾✨Namaste (at King of Pops Yoga on the Beltline)
