finally giving orgono their residual limbs that are fine to swim with, cool to decorate, and otherwise serve no purpose. For deepies they probably act more like pectoral fins, but on amphs they're pretty useless outside of decoration + maybe grabbing or holding small things, and I think freezers lack much movement for them at all. Maybe they use them to hold pups. But they're mostly residual.
then testing some different ideas for little little hadrosaur-like guys. Bred for many different things, primarily for show, but what's cool about organic beasties is that you have to breed for the animal, but also the microbiome that promotes gyrofil growth. Without gyrofil, you've got a naked baby that has shit temperature regulation and a lot of other issues. So you've got to keep a close eye on that. They're cool.
One day I'll draw my things digitally. But for now, lecture notes it is.

Pups (orgono from birth to about 7-8 years old) are born with the size and dexterity of a 24 month old human. They are ready to walk, eat solids, and scream!
Pups form tight social circles called "swarms." In swarms, pups form crucial socialization skills, fine motor skills, and, most importantly, tear up their environment searching for food. Pups who share swarms will have a connection for life, they will recognize each others scent for as long as they live.
many settlements will have a pit where they toss their pups for a few days, with the community throwing them down food throughout the day. Others may attach pups to a leash anchored down in the middle of town. Sometimes, they just roam freely.
Orgono who do not have swarms or who are taken from their swarm are very likely to have social or sometimes even intellectual impairments. Their bodies may have a hard time recognizing the pheromones of others.
Swarms may often have their own language, culture, and cosmology that differs from the adults. Sometimes it only differs slightly, but other times entering the adult world means learning a new lanaguage and religion. Growing out of the swarm and leaving is the first step towards adulthood in many cultures on Korad. It is a time of great transition.
Societies with a swarm culture that is more separate from the adult culture are more likely to let their pups free-roam, your time in the swarm is a closely kept secret, not often discussed with those not apart of it.
can i offer you an oggie in these trying times
an assortment of organic beasties. orgono, ogturians, kilpals, maou, and then concepts for dudo and malka (or mud cows)
doodles of organic origin.
adult holding a pup, with a few different age groups next to them.
pups are born very small, like the age of a young toddler. they become ravenous and grow steadily until they're 4-6 ft. Few years pass, they eat a shit ton, and then shoot up to 9-12 ft.
and then more work with my hadrosaur guys. I am happier with how they turned out today. Still want to workshop the whole hexapod thing more. I don't like to make all three sets the same, I feel like that's a bit boring. And I want to push it a bit more with these guys. I'll probably work on them for a bit longer.
I've debated calling them laxpols. laxpols are creatures i've had on my mind since 2018, maybe, but i've never been happy with them. but these guys are small enough to fit the role. so i'm debating it. we'll see.
orgono sex is cool because someone can put an egg in you and then someone else can fertilize that egg. and then you produce the microbiome and gyrofil. so the pup is born having 3 biological parents. #win
if you don't have enough sex then your body will try to reproduce asexually. in which case, the pup only has one parent.
and of course there is still the classic two parent system. but lets be honest. no one is doing that.
