So, I'm reminded of a Granny Greenteeth story. When I was growing up, I was always told not to swim in certain tarns on the moors because 'Granny Greenteeth' liked to drown children. As I grew older, I learned that she was far less deadly to adults, even helping lost travellers on occasion. Fast forward to 2007. I was living in perhaps the most terrifying apartment I've ever lived in. Every night between the hours of 11pm and 1am, there would be noises coming from the bathroom that sounded like a wet body slipping around in the bath, my toilet exploded, and the bathroom ceiling set on fire. It wasn't just the bathroom either, the toaster oven for would open and close on its own, I once saw a candy tub *sail* from one end of the room to hit the opposite wall (about 12ft). On my first night, I saw these women covered in blood at the bottom of my bed (but put it down to jetlag), and periodically woke up with scratches (I bite my nails). So anyway, I go out and get drunk with my friends one night, come home and have the 'bright' idea to try putting up my mosquito net. It didn't quite work out and I ended up falling asleep on the bathroom floor. You know, the creepy bathroom. While asleep, I had a dream, and it was so vivid that it's imprinted on my brain. I was back home at a local park sitting on a rock with Granny Greenteeth and we were watching kids play on a tire swing over some water. "When he falls off, I'm going to have him.", she said. And horrified, I asked her if she really had to. At this point she turned to me and said, "You'd better look to yourself and get back to your body. I don't much like what 'er in't bath has in store for you!" I woke right up, sober as a judge, wrapped in the mosquito net on the bathroom floor, and the atmosphere in the bathroom was like nothing I'd felt while there. I could hear the body noises coming from the bath but there was no one there (usually they stopped when I went into the bathroom), if anything they intensified. Obviously terrified, I got the hell out of the room, feeling like I was shaking something nasty off with every step, and went into my room (which I'd set up as a 'safe' room after the first night). It was...interesting.
