A low chuckle was her only response for a moment. Daena held a great amount of respect for Rhaenys, as her elder and as a dragonrider, yet that admiration had its limits when confronted with the fire that ran through her own veins.

Zelda nearly dropped the goblet of wine she had been fetching for the princess. All she could feel was her heartbeat thrumming violently throughout her veins and all breath vanished from her. What were the chances she had misheard Rhaenys? That simply must be it, she thought and fought to find her voice. "I.. I beg your pardon?" She only hoped she would hear her clearly this time over the roaring in her ears.

he paused mid-step when the princess came from behind the corner. head lowered in a bow of respect, as expected, though what he feels for her is far from what ought to be expected from one wearing the white cloak. honor and desire, oaths and want forever at odds with one another, whenever his eyes would meet hers. He came in peace of course, but he was there on a mission. For so long he had been searching for his sister, lost to war and pronounced dead, he had given up until he heard a rumor that she lived. After traveling the coasts, his heart had led him to Ravka. 

Now that he was here, his heart was fluttering nervously. He had to embrace the fact that if he had found Larkspur, she wouldn't remember him. She was too little when his parents fled with her after leaving the circle. It was a deep regret that he didn't go with them. One he'd rectify now.
