Hi hello yes I miss Enigma so much but it makes me happy whenever I see it mentioned on your blog so take your time with her and give her love cause she’s precious to me (as are you). Maybe if you ever have a hot second that you want a little reminder taste of our dearest Kali and our favorite prince and king?? (Ideally Kouen but ya know both of them fighting over her like the school drabble or the bartender drabble are my literal FAVS - just like you 😘) K bye love you hope to hear from you❤️

YES I CAN BECAUSE ENIGMA ALWAYS DESERVES LOVE

- in the bartender Kali au, Sinbad and Kouen are top notch CEOs that each run their own respective trading companies, Sinbad’s is more toward exports and exotics/tourism while Kouen deals more with weapons and land as well as development. Both their buildings are literally right next to each other, stupidly high, and they each wanted a bit more land than the other and the only thing standing in their way is a small two story bar in between both business that all coworkers frequent very often and a stubborn owner who refuses to sell

- Sinbad already knows it belongs to Kali because they have history, so he usually just tries to persuade her to put it as an extension of his company so she doesn’t even have to pay tax or rent and just give him free drinks

- Kouen, however, does not, he decides to make the first move, coming into the bar before opening, briefcase and all prepared to buy out the sleazy dump

- Kali sees the new customer walk in, eyes him up a bit and considers his briefcase and figures what she’s in for

- he greets her, hands her his super fancy business card and flat out says he’ll buy the place, no matter the price

- Kali starts laughing and offers him a drink, Kouen kinda just stares and Kali waves him away, wiping down her bar and saying he isn’t the first to try and he won’t be the last

- Kouen says he knows her game, goes about and talks about business, yada yada, this and that, calm and collected, dark and handsome and when he realizes she’s barely listening he gets a little taller, shows her he means business

- Kali says she’s owned this land for a long time, no price can buy her out because she runs it with her mother’s old friend. All their health codes are up to date so there’s nothing he can do to her

- Kouen isn’t convinced because there is always something he can do when he wants to

- Kali kinda just considers him for a bit, watching him before saying she’d have to die to give this place up, and even then, it’d probably go to the other guy next door first

- Kouen decides this means war

That one ask with the dates was so cute!! That being said, who do you ship your oc’s with the most in your fanfics?? (Like in OHBAB do you like Katsuyu or do you like Kali/Kouen in Enigma the best??)

To be honest, with OHBAB I’m not really sure. There’s moment I think with each of them that definitely come to stand out more and more and balance every which way. The closest I can get to answering is that Katsuyu is usually the easiest to write, ToFu just gets me like oof, and MidoFu is a strange mix of the two I’m interested in exploring.

For enigma, I did have a favorite actually. Originally, I shipped Kali/Sinbad the most. For me, crafting their relationship was something I really, really enjoyed doing and writing their dynamics is such a breath of fresh air because they’re a bit older too and a bit more wiser and they both know things about themselves and each other to an extent and I love Sinbad, the crazy guy u. And Sinbad at heart, an adventurer and explorer like this panel which gets me EVERY DAMN TIME

I think these feelings I have for them still bleed in from time to time hahaha. But after writing the Kou arc, I definitely fell in love with writing Kouen much more than I expected too. I liked him a lot as a character enough to put him in the story with the intention of him being a formidable adversary, but writing the two of them had me having way more fun than I expected.

Enigma does have a decided endgame though that I will keep guarded very closely. It’s ending too, which is on the way when I finally get those updates out hahaha, so don’t worry, it’s going to get it’s finish <3
